Can you try disabling - MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer and possibly other Ping extensions and see if that affects your save?
The other option is to disable everything and then enabled a few at a time, and see when it starts lagging.
Unfortunately your situation is very complex, and also using commercial plugins so it's not possible for me to adequately test it locally without some more work from you.

Ok, this is quite a complex environment. Lets try to figure out where the actual problem is.

Lets see if the problem is in our Extension:
- disable extension, restart firefox, and go to your blog. Edit one of the posts that is already Zemantified and just click "save" again. Does it freeze?

What I'm thinking that is actually happening is that one of your plugins is doing some interesting things with our suggested links (like pinging them) and because of the increased number of them a delay in posting happens.
We're also almost ready with WP plugin, so I can send you a beta version of that to see if it would help you. Just drop me your email to jure@zemanta.com (getsatisfaction doesn't allow me to see your email)

Hello Jure,
I am using zemanta through WordPress Mass Installer software (wpmi) and the version wordpress is 2.3. The problem first started when initially loaded Zemanta about a month ago. I thought maybe I could live with it but now I need to do changes to about 60 posts so it's now become a problem.
The firefox version is 2.0.0.14. My operating system is windows.
The following plugins are being used:
Add This Social Bookmarketing, Akismet, Jerome's Keywords, One-Click Installer, WP Database Backp, WP Spinner (paid plugin), WP Cache, PopShops (paid plugin) and WP Multi URI Ping. The next set of plugins are active but I haven't used them yet, MaxBlogPress Ping Optimizer, Sidebar Widgets, WP Decoratr, Unique Article Wizard.
Firefox extensions are:
Add-ons sidebar, Alexa Sparky, DownloadHelper, Firebug, FireFtp, Google toolbar for Firefox, Google Web Accelerator, KGen, Page Validator, Subtile, TorrentBar, Yahoo! Toolbar and of course Zemanta.
Thanks
Phillymom

That's the first time we hear of this problem. Can you tell us a bit more so we can figure out how to help you:
Are you running this on Wordpress (what version?) or on Wordpress.com?
When did this start? After installing new version of our Zemanta extension - 0.2.2 from this week or was it before?
What version of Firefox are you using and on which operating system?
Are you using any other plugins for Wordpress or extensions/add-ons for Firefox?

Zemanta freeze has me in hot water! After adding Zemanta suggested links and pressing save, the screen freezes approximately 2 minutes then goes blank. I'm not able to get back into the application for another 5 minutes, the saved content is where it should be. This happens consistently, even after clearing the cache, what can I do?
