Yes I did and I rebooted thunderbird. I am not sure about rebuilding the index though.

I tried your suggestion but it wasn't successful. I guess you mean by rebuilding the index I right click on the folder choose properties and than rebuild? The effect is that now no emails are threaded except starting with Re. Thanks for the effort though.

Hi all,

Since I use thunderbird 3 I noticed something strange. I was using threaded view in TB2 and it was working ok. Now I have two examples of emails that have the same sender and subject but aren't added to the corresponding thread. Something goes wrong here. Is it me or do I need to submit a bug?

I even have a message with the same sender and subject not appearing in the corresponding thread. Would be easy if I could correct this error.

Long time no see. But the addon just remembers the last track playing. I'd like to see the filter pane settings stored as well.

I admire your positive attitude but with futuristic I mean "seems like a lot of work" so it will take some time 'till it is working. I hope somebody from the company is reading this for all they done yet is merging these threads.

It sounds promising but I would have to see the implementation. Especially the reference to an internet DB. Because the tend to misinformed from time to time.
But for me the simplest solution would be to implement the multiple tags in foldername and I am happy.
You make a good point though it just seems to be a bit futuristic to me.

I am not sharing your enthusiasm about that idea. Personally I want to get rid of all the different places where information is stored. I constantly have to watch for discrapencies between file/folder names and the metadata. And you are suggesting introducing a third instances for storing that information. I'd rather see the metadata disappear. But that is a bit far fetched so I would settle for a decent file/folder management system. I like the file naming bit of it as it is. But for folders there needs to be the same flexibility. I want more information in certain folder names.
My naming scheme would be this:
<artist> / <year> - <album> / <track> - <track>.ext
But it is just impossible right now.

Thanks for the quick response. I made a comment on the bug report. I also noticed that when I would like to go to an artist by typing the first letter the words like "the" and "a" aren't skipped. Making things even more confusing
