when I have the prob of it taking forever to login, I just refresh and press login again.. It works for me.. try it on yours. May be it'll work in yours too

May b Your Internet connection is slow.. Or may b u have something being downloaded at the background.. That happened 2 me and wen the download completed I logged in

U Win by time if U have any mating pieces on board and the opponent's time runs out.. But if u have no mating pieces( for eg: U just have a king on board) U just draw the game Even if the opponent's time runs out
And no... Its not the the survival of the quickest.. U can play a slow game(eg:1 hour game) if U like... Its just that people assume fast games are easy to finish, saves time, and sharpens ur mind 2 making quick decisions

You can cheat by using a chess software (like chessmaster, fritz, etc.) in the background while playing chess.. The moves Ur opponent does on the chesscube, U do it in chess software and get the best next move( most of the times)... This is 1 method of cheating I know of...
P.S. : I dont cheat.
