I'll give you a little more nerdy way to disable the feedreader.

If you take a look at this article:

It explains that a file called userChrome.css can be created and used to do customization of your browser.

So step 1 is to create that file.

Then step 2 is to put this line in the file:

#bt-lookingforgroup-toolbar btfeedreader3 {
display: none;
}

And you can use the theme without the feedreader.

You can have multiple profiles on Firefox, but you can't password protect them.

To create a new profile (assuming you are on Windows) go to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox from a command line.

Type firefox -profilemanager

Select "Create Profile" to create a new profile.

Once you have more than one profile, it will always startup with the profile manager so you can select a different profile.

Can you be more specific on the social sites problems you are seeing?

If there is a good RSS feed for all posts, it can be added. You can test out how the RSS feed would look with:

Ad the URL for the RSS feed to the end and see what things look like.

Unfortunately some things changed for Firefox 3.6 and we'll be refreshing our booms.

Can you try turning off tab search completely and seeing if that fixes it?

Type about:config in the URL bar.

Right click and select "New->Boolean"

Name the preference:

extensions.brandthunder.tabSearch

set it to false.

Then restart the browser.

OK, Sorry about that. Follow these instructions. Note they look similar to the tabSearch, but the name of the preference is different.

Type about:config in your browser's url bar.

Click "I'll be careful, I promise"

Right click and select New->Boolean

For the preference name, type:

extensions.brandthunder.keywordSearch

set it to false.

Next, search in the filter for keywordURL

Right click on it and select reset.

Once you have done this, the keyword search should not reset itself anymore.

That's strange. Try this.

Type about:config in your URL bar. If you see it, click the "I'll be careful, I promise button"

Right click in the area with all the preferences and select New->Boolean

For the name, type:

extensions.brandthunder.washcaps.notifier

click ok.

Then select false and click ok.

This should prevent you from seeing the popups.

I apologize for the problems you are seeing. I'm working on figuring out the problem now.

That's very strange. I'll check why that is happening.

To turn it off, Click on the BT Button on the right side of your toolbar. You should see "Washington Capitals Settings" It will open a menu that allow you to turn it off.

Can you give me your timezone just so I can check if it is timezone related?

I had a feeling it was another boom. We've changed the way we do new tabs with our later booms so these conflicts shouldn't be there anymore.

Holiday still uses the old method.

Have you tried on any operating system other than Windows 7? You mentioned Vista compatibility.

I'm at a complete loss on this one. I'd love to debug it remotely or even in person...
