A comment on the question "how do i change the watch folder?" in Songbird:
Just for the lazy :
Watch Folders
If you want Songbird to monitor the contents of a folder and automatically add or remove that media from your library, Watch Folders is for you!
To Watch Folders for music,
1. Select Tools › Options (Songbird › Preferences on a Mac) ...
2. Select the Media Importer tab, then Watch Folders.
3. Then select which folder you want to watch for changes.
✓ Watching folders on Remote Drives is not yet supported. – qways, on May 23, 2009 10:59

A comment on the idea "CD Rip / Burn Support" in Songbird:
I also own a lot of CDs, still buy them, but
i use EAC or BONKenc for ripping.
There are gazillions of other good ripping tools see for example www.heise.de
For me it is just not neccessary that songbird has it integrated. Since specialized programs are more advanced and already simple to use.
Don`t get me wrong i do not say songbird should not have it; I say there is more important stuff. And people should have the choice to integrate it or not !

A comment on the idea "CD Rip / Burn Support" in Songbird:
I understand the developers choice for priorities!
BTW transcoding is useful as first step towards CD/ripping
Just answer the following two questions:
Can you find a workaround for burning CDs and still use songbird?
Can you find a workaround for stable and fast library browsing/management and management or an equalizer and still use songbird?
My answers:
Yes
No – qways, on May 23, 2009 10:10
qways made a comment on "CD Rip / Burn Support", but it was removed. see the change log
A comment on the idea "CD Rip / Burn Support" in Songbird:
I think leaving rip functionality outside of the program is like offering a car that doesn ́t burn fossil fuels.
Or POSITIVELY :
Creating a music-player without mandatory CD/Ripping is like offering a car that runs without consuming fossil fuels! – qways, on May 22, 2009 18:52

Well If the Add-on Does not WOrk for you, you can look at some other
Open Source Program to do the Job.
I know this is harsh for the add-on creator ;
I do appreciate his effort and time invested, and probably he did a good job.!
I`m to busy at the moment to test the add-on.
But to keep you from abandoning Songbird_which would be sad.
If you explicitly ask i can tell you what program I used for exactly the same
purpose,
I just do not want to look as a marketing guy.
TESTING of the Tagger-Addon is important.
