Thank you all for your interest! I checked in with the book's editor, and I have an update for you:
- The authors from the previous edition are working on a new edition of the book.
- The new edition will cover only Level 1 tests, in order for us to finish the book sooner. The previous edition covered Level 2 tests, and we'll discuss adding them back in the future.
- We're not sure of the release date, but when we have a large enough chunk of new material we'll start releasing it into our Rough Cuts program.
Thanks again for your interest,
Rachel James

Hi Sterling,
Sorry for the delay in responding. We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if you decide to return your book, you can find the details at http://oreilly.com/oreilly/cs/guarantee.csp, and if you have questions feel free to contact customer service directly at order@oreilly.com or (707) 827-7000 / (800) 998-9938.
Switching to Mac: The Missing Manual, Snow Leopard is scheduled to come out in January 2010.
Mac OS X, Snow Leopard: The Missing Manual is scheduled to come out next month, October 2009.
From what I've read, it does sound like Snow Leopard is not a drastic change, so the Leopard Missing Manual could still be useful to you, if you're getting your new computer before either of those books comes out.
If anyone has a Leopard edition of one of our books and would like to upgrade to the Snow Leopard edition when it comes out, register your Leopard book at https://epoch.oreilly.com/register/. You can then get notification when a new edition is available, as well as a discount code for a 40% discount off the new edition.

Rachelj replied on September 16, 2009 20:07 to the question "Where can I get example codes for Regular Expressions Cookbook?" in O'Reilly Media:
Hi,
Thanks for writing us. Currently, there are no example code files available for the Regular Expressions Cookbook. But I passed your question on to the editor, and he agrees that they would be useful for this book. We'll take a look and see if we can make example files available, and we'll let you know if we do.
When there are example files for a book, you can find them by going to the book's page on our site and clicking on the Examples link below the book cover image (For example, you'll find the link on this page for JavaScript: The Definitive Guide.).
Thanks again,
Rachel James
