Rolf Schewe shared an idea in Brightkite on August 30, 2009 13:43:
Condensed Facebook posting via Brightkite appAre there plans give us a way to check-in and post a photo with a note to Facebook in one post. Right now to do this you have to send 3 posts to Facebook. It would be cool to have a map showing my location long with a photo from that location and a comment/note in one Facebook posting.-

Same issue. There needs to be a way to merge the account via the account setting under each person's profile. It can be done. It is done by other sites using Facebook Connect. Please help us out with this. I like my original username at the end of my profile URL. The new one created for my Facebook Connect profile has a number at the end.-

Same here. Was never approved. This system is confusing. It is almost like you are banned at sign up and you have to beg to make you first comment. Strange thing was that I was able to sign in with Facebook Connect and not my original Gawker account. I would like to merge the two. Someone needs to fix this. Or at least my account.

Editing locations (existing and in our previous check ins)Please allow us to edit locations!
I have seen some old comment on this issue going back about 6 months. Yikes!
Some locations are misspelled, improperly placed, among other mistakes. We need to be able to correct these. Also, let us edit our old locations in the event we make an error. Please give us some room to tweak this. The current system is too rigid. We are sometimes forced to either choose a flawed existing location label or keep a screwed up check in.
Thanks.

Rolf Schewe replied on May 01, 2008 15:56 to the question "Firefox 3 Support?" in PostRank:
Firefox 3 is not supported. It does not work. AideRSS will install on Firefox 3 but it will screw up Google Reader and AideRSS will not work. You will see the drop-down menu but it will not do anything.

If you get stuck, make sure you uninstall the extension AND the script from inside greasemonkey.
Again, Firefox 3 is not supported and you will experience problems. Trust me, wait until it is ported officially.
BTW, if anyone has managed to get AideRSS to work in Firefox 3 beta 5 leave a comment here so I can experience that miracle.
Rolf Schewe reported a problem in PostRank on April 25, 2008 16:27:
For me, AideRSS is fubar. Not ready for Firefox 3.Well, after a bunch of changes, 2 or 3 invites, extension and greasemonkey script installations, re-installations, I have given up. No I will not use Firefox 2, no I don't want anymore invites. I am using Firefox 3 now.
Never have I seen a more complicated software installation process.
After receiving another invite via e-mail I did a fresh install of the extension. It did not work. Then I tried to install the greasemonkey script and my browser froze. When I restarted and navigated to Google Reader all I got was the orange drop-down menu. It does nothing. I chose individual feeds and all that. Nothing.
To be honest, this takes an extraordinary amount of patience even to try to tolerate this bugginess. This should have been labeled as Pre-Alpha, use at your own risk, not ready for primetime.
I tried, very hard to get this to work and it consumed a lot of my time. I would recommend you just prominently warn Firefox 3 users that an installation this product is not to be attempted.
I will check back soon to see if any progress has been made. AideRSS looks like a very nice usefull tool. I just don't have the patience or time to fiddle with this anymore.
Good luck and look forward to using this soon. Thanks.

A comment on the problem "We've heard you -- invite tokens will die!" in PostRank:
Another invite? What will be different between this one and the original one I received if it does the same thing? Those e-mails should contain the actual token number so it can be pasted in the box if someone has a problem. The whole token system needs to be scrapped. – Rolf Schewe, on April 23, 2008 21:39
A comment on the problem "We've heard you -- invite tokens will die!" in PostRank:
This is standard extension installation procedure. I am able to install the extension. The problem is when I navigate to Google Reader and the popup redirects me to the token page. That box is empty and I have no token. I may not need a token, but that page is still asking me for one.
Who knows. This may be incompatibilty with Firefox 3 and/or greasemonkey. – Rolf Schewe, on April 23, 2008 21:38

Oh no. Now I have to wait again!
I signed up to the invite list and got the e-mail invite. Then I installed the extension and the token function doesn't work. The text box is blank and no token number was supplied in the e-mail. If there was one included in the e-mail then I could have entered it manually.
Greasemonkey gave me problems as well and now I can only get the authorization in Google Reader if greasemonkey is installed with the script.
What do I have to do reinstall Firefox now with no extensions? What a mess.
