Crash when starting playback from after some time silenceHello, I have a bit of a problem. I recently upgraded my distro to openSUSE 11.2 (from openSUSE 11.1), and now my songbird playback doesn't work correctly. I noticed that my external is going down (because of the I/O errors in logs and delays in playback), so I moved all of my mp3s to other hard drive. Ok, then it worked fine, but my main problem is:
I get a lot of these: pulseaudio[4156]: module-alsa-sink.c: Error opening PCM device front:0: Device or resource is busy, and when it occurs, it doesn't start playback, only stops at 0:00. Ok, I get it playing by clicking the track again some time, and then it plays when I change track etc. But, when I stop playback and go for sleep or doing other things, for insance, and then come back after hours and hours of silence, IT CRASHES when I click any of the songs. I get "songbird has crashed" window, which has "restart songbird" and "quit songbird" buttons. I have sent the chras information to songbird developers couple of times from that send box.
During crash, I get these to my system log:
Dec 5 15:01:28 peikko pulseaudio[2805]: ratelimit.c: 34 events suppressed
Dec 5 15:01:30 peikko pulseaudio[2805]: sink-input.c: Failed to create sink input: too many inputs per sink.
Dec 5 15:01:30 peikko pulseaudio[2805]: protocol-esound.c: pulsecore/protocol-esound.c: Failed to create sink input.

I tried 1.2 and then moved to 1.4. 1.4 works better in many ways, but this crash seems to bother me. It only happens when I'm not listening music for a while. Which causes this? Thanks in advance.

I finally decided to reinstall. Removed ~/.songbird2 and songbird -folders (of course backuped them first), and then untarred tarball-build to different hard drive so that it's pure clean install. Then installed very few add ons and now it works like a charm. Of course it uses max 20-30% cpu when mass-editin id-tags but I think it should... no more freezing though.

Freezes often, and uses most of the cpu on suselinuxHello there,
I didn't find any linux-related problems of this, so I decided to write my own. My media library contains like 15000 tracks. Songbird freezes almost always when I change track (especially when shuffling whole library), or edit id-tags, or rate songs, and so on. When it does freeze, it uses about 40-70(%?) cpu, at least my conky says so.
I'm using openSuse 11.0 and my songbird is version 1.1.2. Is there a way to prevent these freezings? It's not nice to have to wait all the time when the program is gonna respond again... getting only some last.fm-addon errors in error log.
I've had this problem since 1.0. I'm those who would also like mysql-database for library, it could be faster...?
