Hi chiligin,
Thanks for contacting us. We're currently aware of the problem, and are working to resolve it very soon. In the meantime, I would suggest visiting the other thread, where we're discussing this problem, and click on the "I have this problem, too!" link, located at the top of the page. Once we have a resolution to this problem, we'll be announcing the solution there, so that everyone knows it's been fixed.

Scott Robbin replied on November 06, 2008 17:20 to the question "What happened to the embed feature?" in Songza:
Hello tsutsu,
We've temporarily removed the Embed link while we work on improving that feature. In the meantime, I'd suggest that you use the "Link to song" feature for directing users on your site to listen to a song. While it's not meant to be the ultimate solution, I hope that it will provide you with a temporary way to recommend music to your friends.
Best regards,
Scott
Scott Robbin replied on November 05, 2008 21:13 to the problem "FireFox and Chrome interact via Songza" in Songza:
Hi David,
Yes, we're aware of this problem as well. YouTube's embedded player seems to have an awareness of multiple instances across browsers. It tends to play a video in whichever player it considers to be the primary one, regardless of where the interaction happens. I find this to be strange as well, and I'm not sure what the benefit would be?
I'm working on resolving this one myself, as it's one that I find perplexing...
Thanks,
Scott
Scott Robbin replied on November 05, 2008 21:10 to the problem "Flash player overlaps progress bar." in Songza:
Hi David,
Thanks for your feedback -- and especially for the level of detail (re: wmode).
This is actually one style issue that we've wrestled with for a while. There are a few conflicts between the wmode parameter and our use of a static player at the bottom of the page. We've tried diligently to resolve this in a cross-browser-friendly manner, but as you can see we still have a bit of tweaking to do.
I'll forward this to our design team for review.
Best regards,
Scott

Hi All,
I think that some of the issues you're seeing here may be related to another thread that we're discussing on Get Satisfaction. I'd suggest joining in on it, so that I can notify everyone who's affected once I have a resolution.

Scott Robbin replied on November 05, 2008 20:27 to the question "Removing songs from replacement list" in Songza:
Hello smleckie1,
Right now, there's no way to hide individual songs on the replacement list, only to hide the list as a whole, if you don't want to see it. Though, it can easily be shown again...
We're going to be removing that section in the near future, though not without announcing it first, and giving you plenty of time to finish searching for your replacement songs.
Hope that answers your question.
Best regards,
Scott
Scott Robbin replied on November 05, 2008 20:24 to the question "Artists royalties" in Songza:
Hello Jiff,
Yes, Songza pays the major publishing rights organizations, ASCAP, BMI and SESAC, for the public performances of the songs. In addition, our content partners, YouTube and Imeem, also have their own agreements for the rights to those songs, which in turn benefit the artists and labels.
Best regards,
Scott
Scott Robbin set one of Scott Robbin's replies as an official response to "Is it all because of majors?" in Songza
Scott Robbin replied on November 05, 2008 20:21 to the question "Is it all because of majors?" in Songza:
Hello Soundsponge,
At Songza, we've always been committed to doing whatever is best for the content creator, whether it be directing users to purchase songs via Amie Street or Amazon, so that the artist can continue to generate revenue. Imeem shares those same values, so it made sense for us to source content from them.
That said, we understand that a few rare songs are not available from Imeem, and are working hard with them and other content source provides to bring those back to the Songza catalog. We hope to have those incorporated very soon.
Best regards,
Scott
A comment on the update "Updates and $5 of music from AmieStreet.com" in Songza:
Hi omouse,
Thanks for your feedback. Currently, we're working to make the Imeem player integration even better and more consistent with the experience you've come to love on Songza. We hope to have those updates released very soon.
As for you question about Amie Street, it might be a good idea to contact Amie Street support directly with that request. They've been very accommodating to helping others in your same situation, who wish to claim the $5, and who already have an AS account.
Best regards,

A comment on the update "Updates and $5 of music from AmieStreet.com" in Songza:
Hi Ulrich,
Unfortunately, this would conflict with the YouTube Terms of Service, so it's not likely something that we'll be able to do in the near future. Still, you raise a valid point about being able to differentiate between music with and without video. Currently, songs which are from non-YouTube sources are tinted yellow, making them easy to scan in the search results. Hope that help.
Best regards,
