Improvement to Ticket Discussion Queue GUI/Usability/InteractivityCan y'all improve the ticket discussion queue to provide more project information and "on-the-fly" task updates?
This series of drop-downs will enable people to assign tickets back and forth, report progress (which you can then sort by in the ticket list) and assign due dates.
Scott S. replied on November 02, 2009 20:22 to the question "What really is the difference between tickets and tasks?" in Goplan:
Why can't I add a due date to a ticket. We've encountered a bug with our software. I need that bug fixed by "this date". I don't want it showing up on the calendar, so I'm not making it a task. I'd have 300 calendar events. :-P
Can you push an update:
1. allowing a due date to be added to a ticket
2. in ticket view, a column with due dates that can be sorted ascending or descending by date
3. add a drop-down every ticket that we can track status of the ticket, and
4. through site administration, allow me to control what those status are, i.e. "not started", "in progress", "staged for review", "pushed to production", "Closed", etc. ... would like to be able to track progress on a ticket better.

Can I change the color of a calendar event? For those of us who will have multiple calendar events overlapping, they can all get lost in the mix when they're the same color.
How about a color selector option in a calendar event detail page. A simple pop-up 16 color "click-to-select" functionality, with a text box option to input a hexadecimal code if I want, too?

Maybe I'm thinking of this differently, but a great way to track % completion would be awesome...
Imagine you had a milestone with 10 tasks assigned to it. If 3 of those were checked off, then on the dashboard you could show by that milestone (30% complete). Add 10 more tasks and complete 2 more, and you're at (25% complete). In other words, it would constantly evaluate # of tasks against percentage completed.
Heck, you could even map it out on a time line on the dashboard; looking like a thermometer turned on its side. And then create one big % complete bar for the project.-

Yeah, we have a repeatable service that contains like 5 milestones, and potentially a hundred tasks separated into many categories, and a document structure that will be the same for every project, too. It'd be totally sweet if I could set up just one exhaustive project template and deploy it every time! Right now this is how TeamWork stands out in our minds.-
