Infovark icon does not appear in task bar -- is it running?I reinstalled Infovark. A message in the task bar says that it's 'starting up'. When I move my mouse over the icon it disappears. I checked Windows Task Manager to see if Infovark was running, but I didn't see any processes that look like they were related to Infovark. What's the name of the process? I'm using Outlook 2003, so during installation I chose not to install the Outlook component of Infovark.

Thanks, Dean. I don't have a file named extend.dat on my system (XP running Outlook 2003), but I have one named outcmd.dat. I deleted that file. That didn't fix the error message, but Outlook performs much better! But here's what seems to have fixed it:
In Outlook, choose Tools > Options.
Click the Other tab.
Click Advanced Options...
Click Add-In Manager...
Uncheck Redemption Helper Outlook Extension.
Click OK.
Restart Outlook.

Quoting myself:
During installation I might have gotten in a hurry and accidentally chosen to have Infovark work with Outlook (I don't remember -- is that an option during installation?)...
I just remembered that Dean commented on this here. I'm using Outlook 2003, so I should have chosen the Custom install option so that Infovark wouldn't be integrated with Outlook. – Scott Tiner, on July 29, 2009 21:56

When I start Outlook, a message says that it can't find:
C:\Program Files\Infovark\Redemption.dll
...and that I might be able to fix this issue by choose Help > Detect and Repair, but that didn't remove the message.
Note that I'm using Outlook 2003. During installation I might have gotten in a hurry and accidentally chosen to have Infovark work with Outlook (I don't remember -- is that an option during installation?), which I probably shouldn't have since it's designed to work with 2007.

Can't uninstall InfovarkI can't uninstall Infovark. I opened Control Panel. At the entry for Infovark, I clicked 'Uninstall.' A dialog box titled 'Browse For Folder' appeared. It says, "Please locate your original setup sources to continue operation". I assumed that the 'original setup sources' meant the installer file (Inforvark Installer.exe), which is on my Desktop. I browsed to my Desktop, but that didn't work. Then I browsed to C:\Program Files\Infovark, but that didn't work.

Is Office 2007 a firm requirement? Is Office 2007 a firm requirement? Or will I simply not 'get the most out of the beta' if I have 2003? Looking forward to trying it. I've been following your blog for a long time.
