Thunderbird 3 Beta 4 feedbackI've just installed Thunderbird 3.0b4, and I've used Thunderbird for a few years. I really like the email client.
scouser73 reported a problem in Songbird on July 11, 2009 15:02:
File deletion, moving media to an unspecified folder.Songbird deletes music from the specified folder, and moves music to the Songbird folder in my Home directory which isn't what I want. I thought that Songbird would be great, but alas it's not.
scouser73 replied on July 10, 2009 02:23 to the question "Why would you allow SB to delete half of my music?" in Songbird:
Mike M: You're right about people not expecting their music libraries to be partially or even fully deleted but it does happen and this is usually by user error (in my case it was).
Dustin Grey: It's a shame that this has happened and I hope that you manage to get all the music back that has been deleted.

5 - Select Complete Removal & click Apply

Download Songbird 1.2.0 from the GetDeb website: http://www.getdeb.net/app/Songbird
You'll need to remove the libvisual-0.4-plugins before you actually install Songbird. this is done by going to System, Administration, Synaptic Package Manager, put your password in, once it opens up, goto the search field and enter libvisual-0.4-plugins. Once you see the results for this, place cursor over the small green box, then right click and select Mark For Complete Removal, then click Apply.. Once that has done you'll be able to come out of Synaptic Package Manager and then you can install Songbird.
scouser73 replied on July 09, 2009 00:33 to the question "Video AND Radio IN SONGBIRD!(IPlayer Too)" in Songbird:
This works with the BBC iPlayer, Five On Demand, 4OD.
It also works with the BBC Radio stations, apart from the localized BBC Radio stations that for some reason require RealPlayer
I have tried listening to commercial radio stations that require the Windows Media Play plugin, unfortunately those don't work.
If I could get a Windows Media Player plugin for Songbird that would be excellent.

Thank you.I've been using Songbird for about a month or so now and I really love it, I am now using version 1.2.0. I think the people that have created Songbird need a massive pat on the back, after all they are a relatively small team from what I gather. Well done guys and gals at Songbird, you've done yourself proud and you've got an amazing product. Thank you for making my audio experience the best. Please keep up the great work.
