The "trick" or the caveat to the 1st generation iPhone is that technically all 1st gen iPhones are customer owned equipment and needed to be activated through iTunes. All of these phones required a two year contract as do the new iPhone 3G's however the activation must be done in a store. So I guess in short iPhone = 2 yr contract. Once again, I would like to apologize for any poor experience that you've had with AT&T. Sometimes these things get confusing even for us. I'm just sorry that it manifested itself in a poor experience for you and your partner.

Thanks for looking into this. I'm very disappointed as up until now I had nothing but positive experiences with AT&T. If I had known they were going to make my partner sign up for a 2 year contract, I would have told him to get a new iPhone!
Just to clarify, they made him sign a 2 year contract simply to add my old iPhone to my account and setup a family share plan.
It doesn't seem reasonable...He is switching from Verizon and using an old phone!
Thanks for your help!

Sean, I am sorry for the experience, I know its tough when you are told one thing and when you try to make it happen it doesnt seem to work out. I am still researching this issue for you but at first glance I believe the issue is due to it being an iPhone. Due to the patnership nature of AT&T and Apple I do not believe we offer the iPhone without a two year contract..(yet).

my partner was a verizon customer that moved to at*t to take my old iphone. as I mentioned I called at&t beforehand and was told no contract necessary for this but when he got to the at&t store they put a 2 year contract in front of him....and he signed. not happy at all. a 2 year contract and no new phone to show for it.

I'm not sure if this is a direct answer to your question because it doesn't give you ogg support, BUT you do get V4L2 support with this BETA update to Flash and that worked for me to get my eeePC (Xandros) working with seesmic. Well at least to the point where it recognizes the camera and captures something. I haven't posted anything yet since I don't have much to say and just got things running last night anyways.
Here is the link to the Adobe update.

Are you still looking into it? The refresh button seems to force a manual refresh if you only have one room. However, if you have multiple rooms it doesn't refresh the room you're on and then sets the view to the top room in your room list. – Howard, on August 04, 2008 16:04

The issue you are having is due to a bug in twitterrific that writes incorrect orientation data to the photo which does not allow us to orient the photo correctly. This is not a bug with twitpic. Twitterrific is working on a fix to be released in their next version. You can read details about that issue here: http://furbo.org/2008/07/11/known-issues/ – Noah Everett, on August 03, 2008 03:33

hey vegan freak. maybe i wasn't clear but i am not asking for a feature i'm asking for a bug to be fixed. if i take a picture up and down and use twitteriffic to post it, it is posted via twitpic but it's posted sideways. The only sense of entitlement I have is that people release code that is not buggy and if it is then _please_ fix it in a timely manner. Cheers – sean808080, on August 03, 2008 03:27

I have to say: I would very much value the ability to rotate pics. It just seems convenient. That said, I'm disappointed with the sense of entitlement in many of these comments. This is a *free* service, maintained by a single person. If you don't like the service, build your own or use another one. STFU and let the poor guy work on the thing. It might also help to put things in perspective. This is hardly an earth-shattering problem.
There's nothing worse than complainers who do not value the hard work done for them by others.
