I believe the point of Gowalla is about sharing new spots one discovers and not necessarily about where one is. Thats basically the only point of hesitation I had in posting this idea because of the websites core concept. At this point, I only have a non-smart phone with basic websurfing capabilities, thus why I started this topic. Not everyone is carrying around a smartphone like a Blackberry, an Android or a iPhone/iPod Touch. Maybe all we have is a web browser accessible. So being able to use the actual Gowalla website as the spotting/checking tool would probably be a smart move. I for one have no iPhone/iTouch thus rendering the whole deal sort of useless.

Quickly correcting typos doesn't necessarily mean adding or overcrowding the 140 character limit. It's just making sure you fix words like "band" when you mean "ban", for example :p

If anything, adding an edit function would make Twitter a lot more simple. To edit a tweet one must delete and retweet is just one extra step that is annoying. – Chauncey McAskill, on June 15, 2009 17:06

Banned Twitter accounts still show up as followers on my list.

I just checked my following and followers list to do some cleaning and I noticed a few obscenely named accounts, most of which have been suspended, that still show up on my followers list. One acronym (sorry for the language) : WTF.

If an account is suspended, why does it still show up?

I am blocking them now so they won't show up on my followers list because it sort of hits my Twitter image in my opinion. I hope this gets fixed soon as I am surely not the only one tainted.
