If Nokia doesn't make a Linux version of PC Suite, someone else will.
Some Linux alternatives for Nokia PC Suite:

Hi Dustin, another three weeks have gone by and I am truely loosing my faith in Nokia to be willing to answer my realtively simple question. Do you still believe in getting this question answered? – Benedikt Kriele, on October 24, 2008 10:00

Yeah... Try to use alternative methods:
for syncing: kitchensync (see my blog), funambol Mozilla plugin
for browsing internal memory: ftp over obex (see my blog)
for using your phone as modem: use wvdial (see my blog) or gnome NetworkManager (2.24 and greater)
for bluetooth: kdebluetooth
my blog: http://smihael.blogspot.com/search/la...
(for synchronization Nokia N95 uses port 10, instead 14 that my Nokia 6120c)
That is probably all you need! – smihael, on October 17, 2008 09:41

Smihael,
For the time being I don't expect that a stand alone version will be coming out. That could change at any time though. Keep checking the site where you download language packs. I would expect that you'll see it there first. Also check the Downloads! app on your phone as it could be distributed there as well.
Keep updating software via Nokia Software Updater. If it gets added to your devices core software it'll appear after an update.
Not the best news, but I do have reason to be hopeful.
best regards,
Dustin

So not all apps that work on 3.2 can work on 3.1. For example we have another one listed on Get Satisfaction, Maps 2.0. It works on 3.1 and above but not on 3.0. However, you can install Maps 1.2 which was created for 3.0 on 3.1 and 3.2.
Currently there is no stand alone that I have found. As far as why isn't there one, I'll let you know what I find out.

So this is only feature added in FP2 (S60 3.2)? But this feature, I think, is easy to brings "down" to 3.1 phones, because S60 3.1 and 3.2 are same (only chosen/pre-installed features/programs are different), I believe (You can install same app on S60 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2, right?).
But if I understand you - there is no standalone application released. So why, as you say, there is no stand alone dictionary application?

(ok my phone is not listed as supported, but base application absolutely can work on this phone, since it's S60 3rd based! Except if this is part of so-called "making money" :-) )
