well i was thinking a bit wider, if each single pane behaves like a spare window,you can rescale and locate it as you want,then when you have it click some button or choose some option to "glue" the windows together and if it has "slots" you can change from one arrange(for listening) to another(for discovering or surfing the web) with a hotkey or a button.

playlist managementThere should be a way to organize playlist, such as making inteligent folders(that search for criteria in the playlist instead of putting it in a folder) or tag them to can easily find one when you have hundreds of playlists.
thank you

spotify kicks the ass of last.fm
i hope the songbird team and the spotify team talk about it at least. – soukai, on March 31, 2009 16:50
A comment on the idea "Can't songbird use libmtp, or something similar, to provide cross platform mtp support?" in Songbird:
are you trying to tell us that,"like windows users expect some features avaliable with their portable device", then we linux and mac users have to had none?
someone could make this as an add on or something. – soukai, on December 29, 2008 09:02
A comment on the idea "Automatically organizing music library" in Songbird:
i agree with you, i am one of whose who dislike this feature, i dont want my music duplicated and recompressed, and i like to find it where i left it. but a lot of people want it so them can't not be listened too – soukai, on December 20, 2008 19:44

soukai replied on December 09, 2008 17:50 to the idea "Tab utilisation" in Songbird:
@carlos k
What I try to say(sorry if i cant explain myself right english is not my language)
"capability to have songbird windows that only include the stuff inside what would be in a tab"
in my idea of a modular gui, this is possible because you can arrange the tabs with everything you want, if you only want a playlist tab, you can do it, and if you want for any reason add anything to the playlist tab, you can,and if you have a view for the playlist tab, and another view for the library, you can switch from one to another easily. Something like a fusion between google chrome and winamp.
with this i mean that what you want and what i ́m saying is in essence the same thing.
Thank you
