Correction...make that support@newrelic.com.
You can try splunk, but they will just try to sell you a log management solution ;)

Hi Darum,
Have you followed the debug steps here yet?
http://sites.google.com/a/newrelic.co...
This would be the first thing to do to insure the agent is configured properly. If you get through this and are still having trouble, send us your log file and details about your environment to support@splunk.com.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve replied on December 08, 2008 14:20 to the question "Possible to have one paid host and one free host?" in New Relic:
Hi,
You do not have to cancel your subscription, but you will need a second account as we currently require all hosts to be at the same subscription level per account. Simply create a new Lite account and then install the license keys for each account (Lite and Bronze) into the appropriate agent configs as you would like to have them connect.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi MisterFine,
We may have an issue with WebBrick at the moment. Can you install mongrel and see if that resolves the issue? Mongrel is actually a better performing server and more of a standard these days anyway. You may have better luck with it in other areas as well.
To install, just do a:
C:\>gem install mongrel
Let us know if this doesn't fix the issue and we'll dig deeper.
Thanks,
Steve
Steve replied on November 21, 2008 19:04 to the question "Passenger with RPM Lite on Debian" in New Relic:
Hi Lee,
I assume you've checked the previous things mentioned in this thread. What do you get when you manually load the newrelic init.rb file? If you'd like to email the results to support@newrelic.com we can look into this a little closer.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Lee,
Sorry your having troubles. Have you worked through the debug steps in our faq? http://sites.google.com/a/newrelic.co...
If so, how about emailing us at support@newrelic.com and we'll work through the issue. We'll be sure and post the resolution here or update the faq as appropriate to help others.
Thanks,
Steve

Martin,
Take a look at the following page in our docs. We just added a few paragraphs that describe how to do just what you're looking for I believe...

Steve replied on November 18, 2008 19:05 to the question "Set number of CPUs or customize thresholds?" in New Relic:
Hi Matt,
We are looking into a way to incorporate the CPU count in our calculations, but unfortunately there is no way to do this currently. Providing a text field that lets you specify the number of CPUs sounds like a good solution and may be easier than trying to determine the count dynamically. I'll pass this idea along...
Thanks,
Steve
Steve replied on November 18, 2008 14:18 to the question "Disable RPM while deploying OR when a admin is logged in ?" in New Relic:
Hi Grosser,
I'm not sure about your first question (i.e., turning rpm off during deployment), but will check and see.
Concerning your second question, you can turn off monitoring for any controller action as described here: http://sites.google.com/a/newrelic.co... Check it out and see if this will meet your needs.
Regards,
Steve

Steve replied on November 13, 2008 15:51 to the idea "Email Alerts for Error Thresholds!" in New Relic:
Hi Stephen,
This is definitely supported and your understanding is correct. When your threshold for errors per minute is exceeded, RPM will show this in the dashboard as well as send you an optional RSS message.
At the Silver and Gold levels you can have incidents created for any threshold violation (as well as other heuristics) which can be optionally emailed to you. For Silver, incident creation and notification is done once an hour, on the hour, and for Gold its done every 5 minutes.
To have the emails sent to an emergency account, you simply need to create an "Emergency User" with the appropriate email address and set the flag in the profile to have the incidents sent.
Thanks,
Steve
