A comment on the idea "Awesome Library Bar!" in Songbird:

:-( Any hints on if its not working for me? Dependencies or the like. I can't even get the "Do Hello World" button to work, if that means anything to you. Windows 7, all other add-ons disabled.

Steven marked one of Simon 's replies in Songbird as useful. Simon replied to the idea "Awesome Library Bar!". Steven and 3 other people think it's one of the best replies.

As a happy Songbird user, I am sorry for your bad experience. However, ultimately it is you, the user, who "took it upon yourselves to virtually wipe my library out".

I also often try new software and features without knowing what exactly they will do and it has burned me many times. I think that your style of organisation (non-meta-tagged) is not the type that the Songbird Library structure is meant for. Perhaps VLC would be a better choice as it has almost no use for libraries and meta-tags, neither of which seem to help you.

I don't know why it does this, but if you can stop it by doing the following:
Go to Tools -> Options -> Main
Under "Music Downloads" select "Always ask me where to save files".

Now, when you click on a song in Skreemr, it will prompt you (multiple times unfortunately) to choose a location to save a song, but if you click cancel a few times, it will stop. The you click on will stream and be added to your library, but not downloaded.

If you have a more elegant solution, I'd love to hear it as this has been bugging me too.
