A comment on the question "How can I move a task from My-To-Dos into My-Notes or My-Shopping ?" in reQall:
Update: I moved to Pocket Informant. Looks good, push notifications (when you have a server connection via wifi or phone), they're about to release MS Outlook sync add-on. – stewATPBw, on December 21, 2009 13:56

dkompany asked "what app are you moving to?"
I'm still on the fence. Appigo's ToDo seems to work well for tasks and it syncs with Outlook. But the push notification requires an active wireless connection, which is great if you have an iPhone (so usually have cell service) but not so much on my Touch. I also like Pocket Informant, which does tasks and calendar, which is beta-testing a direct sync with Outlook. This would be my ideal solution (so long as it works and I can get task alarms w/o wifi.
Deb, we know you guys feel the pressure to get enhancements out the door, but this has gone on for a long time. I don't know if the developers are totally rewriting reQall from scratch or just adding on so much that it's dragging on. Might I gently suggest that the team consider using more agile development methodology so you can roll out smaller new releases more frequently? To use a baseball analogy, writing software is like baseball in that you can hit singles and doubles to get where you need to be and the fans will get excited. You don't have to hit a home run every time you get up to bat.
Good luck. I'll check back in a while, but I gotta get stuff done.

I'm sorry but the lack of enhancements for the iPhone app and reQall as a whole have left a bad taste in my mouth. I've been trying to make ReQall a habit, but this stagnation and that it's missing key features have made me say "enough". I was using the free service while I got used to it, with plans to go Pro.
But now I'm going to move on to an application that gets real developer support. Jessi, Deb and the others have been nice about answering questions, but after 1 year of saying this basic enhancement isn't available, it now sounds like lip service.

jessi,
Thanks for the reply.
I'm running the latest version of FireFox (3.5.3) on Windows XP SP3. The addon was version 1.0.7, not FireFox. I'm pretty certain I tried installing via the link on the Reqall website (http://www.reqall.com/about/reqall_fi...), but wouldn't bet my life on it.
However, I just ran the install again and it worked. Go figure!
Thanks again for your help,
Stew

Oops, my mistake. As I said, I have the new model of Touch, not the iPhone. I didn't realize it was iPhone only.
Nevermind! ;-) – stewATPBw, on September 30, 2009 20:07

stewATPBw shared an idea in reQall on September 25, 2009 15:18:
Allow complete edit via iPhone/TouchI got ReQall to use on my new iPod Touch. But I don't see that I can edit all the aspects of an entry from the iPod. For example, I entered an item, then wanted to change it to be a Note instead of a ToDo. I was so new to ReQall that I didn't know to enter "Note" first. So I want to be able to edit everything on my iPod, not have to use the website. Thanks
