Is MediaComplete looking into any kind of internal or external key support for overlaying Mediashout over live video using a production switcher? This is available with hardware from BlackMagicDesign and other professional video hardware manufacturers.

Stuart Mackey asked a question in MediaComplete on September 13, 2009 13:08:
When I clone an image why does my default editor open? (v3.5)Why does my default image editor open when I clone an image cue in 3.5? I want to clone a graphic so I can put it in another spot and I want it to be the same and don't need to "edit" it. Is there an option to change this behavior?
Its not a big deal since I can use CTRL-C, CRTL-V to do the same thing. Just wondering.
And does it behave the same in MS4? We are going to switch soon, probably.-

The way our system is set up, no source goes directly to any screen. It all goes through a switcher. So when we want to show the same source as up on the side screen on the back screen, I use the switcher.
Please bear in mind that the resources needed to play two video (even if its the same) on two screens would ge very expensive... however, duplicating a still on the "stage" would be a resonable request of the software and the hardware.

It would be especially awesome if you could have "title" and "body" fields in Text templates, similar to the way scripture and songs have header and footer. This would be great for things like announcements, where you want the title to be a certain way, and the body to be a different way. I had to compromise and set our announcement template for the body, and each time you need to go back and change the font, etc, on the title.
Stuart Mackey replied on September 09, 2009 14:49 to the question "FAQ: Song library searchable fields" in MediaComplete:
Except "Cue Name" Should be a choice in the seach field. There was another post about this but I couldn't find it to link to it.
When we have multiple songs with the same name, we leave the name field alone, but change the cue name to something like "Amazing Grace UMH # 378" Or "Song Name [contemporary version]"
I put sad face because, as I posted yesterday, I feel like sometimes MS reps just skim the forums.

Stuart Mackey replied on September 08, 2009 22:21 to the question "Setting transitions for entire section" in MediaComplete:
Nope. It doesn't work. You can change manual to timed and change the duration but you can not set the transition type. This issue is not resolved.
I can choose a template, but that requires having a template made for something I might just do once in a while, or not always the same way.
Tried in 126.1
I am sorry how this sounds, but I keep getting the impression that some of the MediaComplete staff is only skimming these posts and then marking them solved.

Stuart Mackey replied on September 08, 2009 22:09 to the problem ""Inaccessable song library"" in MediaComplete:
So the download is not a full install? Because it sure seems like it? If it is supposed to be an update, not a full version, you should set it up to not install unless there is an existing version.
I don't think I'm the only one who thinks it is supposed to be a full version, based on the number of times I've read people post: "I uninstalled version X and installed version X.126" or whatever.
And the fact that it is 65MB!
