Firefox was open with just the homepage up, when I clicked a link on that page the whole thing crashed as if there was no internet signal even though my wireless connection was just fine. I restarted my laptop and then tried to open firefox. In task manager it didn't show up as running under applications, but it did show up under processes and was gobbling up a lot of my memory. Despite running in processes, firefox never opened. Even in safe mode it would run in the background, but never open.

I changed the firefox.exe to firefox5.exe and now it works just fine.
