The search function is now working fine in my Firefox 3.0.1 and other browsers.

(Just FYI, I got this error today when trying to login using OpenID:

Fatal error: Call to a member function addExtension() on a non-object in /home/.magellan/sthayden/booksiamreading.com/register.php on line 237

A second login attempt was successful.)

I logged in using my OpenID as I always do. When I went to my account, entered my email address and a new password(twice) and clicked the 'Save' button, I got the following error:

I am able to login using the created password though, so the operation itself succeeded.

My browser is Firefox 3.0.1. I have always used this browser and BIAR worked with no problems earlier.

I just tried it again and the search function is still not working for me. I also tried in IE 8 Beta and opera 9.5, but no luck. Let me know if you want to test by logging in with my username and password.

I have been trying for the past two hours but the search feature doesn't seem to be working. When I enter a book title like "Magyk" and click the "Search Book" button, the wait icon just keeps rotating, the drop-down box never appears. I tried with a few book titles.

Is search functionality working for the others?

Yes, that would be nice. Twitter doesn't support any api key though, so users will have to give their password to the web applications.

Alternative would be to get the feeds from web applications[1] and send them to twitter through a service like twitterfeed.com. In this case, the password has to be shared with only one service. On the other hand, Feeds can be added to Jaiku/FriendFeed/etc/ directly.

It would be awesome if BIAR is better supported on friendfeed i.e. post custom message titles instead of sth like "You posted an entry on tabreziqbal - Finished - Books I Am Reading"

Thanks for the reply.

1. In that case perhaps the hyperlink text can read "Login/Signup". Just a suggestion.

3. Perhaps the textbox/save button can be disabled immediately as soon as "Save" is clicked?

I do love the simplicity of BIAR; for me it is the USP of the service over all the others.

So as a workaround, instead of going through all the hoops to recover password, one can just select a password by going to Settings -> Password section on Identi.ca.

But how is this different from just registering a new account at identi.ca(and then adding openid account to it)? The whole point was to avoid creating yet another account...
