I've experience the same loop and as a workaround have been doing what SYS64738 mentions.

BTW, you do not need to be a superuser to edit a venue you have created yourself so you'll be able to edit it later if you want to.

why not just fix Google Maps? You can even move the pin location of an address. I've done this and it works. see support link.

I've had this problem as well as the iphone app asking "Did you mean..." and listing similarly named places with no option to say "no" meaning I was forced to select a location I was not at just so I could move on.

I think this would be a good idea if a merge confirmation system was implemented first. I still think it is best to have 2 or 3 persons agree on a merge before it becomes official so we have less mistakes; there have been a lot of venues merged that should never have been merged together.

I think it would also be a good idea if a tip earned weight by people clicking "Add as to do" or "I've done this". As a tip gets more of these clicks by users the tips with the most activity float to the top of the list so that the better quality tips become more visible.
