Mine is still shown as having two days left. I posted right away about the problem. Am I, too, going to be told that I'm just out of luck on this issue because the advertiser is out of money? This is the first time I've accepted an offer through Sponzai/Izea/SocialSpark/etc. and that would leave an extremely bad taste in my mouth. Just knowing that it is happening to others is very disturbing to me.

I'm having the same problem, and like someone else (I think?) it's the first time I've responded to an opportunity. I did an exact copy and past, as well. My post is at http://technomom.com/2009/12/21/break...
Thanks!

My phone has a mobile browser and I do have an unlimited data plan. Unfortunately, it didn't work :-( If you change your client at some point, I'd be happy to try again. Please feel free to contact me via email - username cyn at domain technomom.com - rather than using this board if you prefer.
These were my results when I tried today. Again, I'm using a Samsung SCH-R560, aka Messager II (yes, Messager, not Messenger - icky name) on MetroPCS.
The first thing I saw was:
"We do not recognize your phone. Please select your device using the link below, or download the generic Java client."
<"Select your device.">
<"Download the generic Java client.">
(sorry, I haven't yet figured out how to see the actual URLs behind those links when browsing by phone)
I chose "Select your device" and went through the manufacturer list to Samsung. My device wasn't listed, so I scrolled all the way through the list to "Other" which presented me with the same two options as the "Download the generic Java client" link above does:
<"Download full client (v1.08) for newer, high-end phones">
That resulted in this display:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
MIDlet-1: AirSet, /i/a.png, AirSet
MIDlet-Icon: /i/a.png
MIDlet-Name: AirSet
MIDlet-Vendor: Airena
MIDlet-Version: 1.08
MicroEdition-Configuration: CLDC-1.0
MIDlet-Permissions: javax.microedition.io.Connector.http
MIDlet-Data-Size: 65535
MIDlet-Jar-URL: http://www.airset.com/dl/AirSet.jar
MIDlet-Jar-Size: 122506
AirSet-VersionDate: 01.31.08
AirSet-UserAgent: sam-r560
UP.Browser/6.2.3.8 (GUI) MMP/2.0
MicroEdition-Profile: MIDP-2.0
AirSet-DeviceID: -2
AirSet-Jad: AirSet.jad
Probably not the desired result, am I right? So I went back a screen and chose the next option.
<"Download simple client (v1.08) for older, low-end phones">
And that gave me this:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
MIDlet-1: AirSet, /i/a.png, AirSet
MIDlet-Icon: /i/a.png
MIDlet-Name: AirSet
MIDlet-Vendor: Airena
MIDlet-Version: 1.08
MicroEdition-Configuration: CLDC-1.0
MIDlet-Permissions: javax.microedition.io.Connector.http
MIDlet-Permissions-Ope: javax.microedition.io.Connector.https
MIDlet-Data-Size: 65535
MIDlet-Jar-URL: http://www.airset.com/dl/AirSet100m1.jar
MIDlet-Jar-Size: 100396
AirSet-VersionDate: 01/31/08 (midp1)
(100k)
AirSet-UserAgent: sam-r560
UP.browser/6.2.3.8 (GUS) MMP/2.0
MicroEdition-Profile: MIDP-1.0
AirSet-DeviceID: -1
AirSet-Jad: AirSet100M1.jad
Another failure :-( I don't know if that means MetroPCS blocks outside Java apps, or my phone just won't run the app. If anyone knows of another app I could try that is definitely not malware, I could test to see if ANY outside Java apps will run.
Thanks!
Cyn

I don't think it will. My daughter and I have Samsung Messager IIs (Samsung SCH-R560) and my partner has the Messager I (SCH-R450). I don't think we've ever successfully loaded anything that isn't MetroPCS-endorsed onto the phones, but if you know of anyone running your java client on these phones, I suppose we could give it a try.
A comment on the question "When will Airset Sync support Palm Desktop v6?" in AirSet:
I understand what you're saying, Brian. It's really a Catch-22. My family and I would be subscribers if Airset were supported on any of the phones offered by our mobile provider (MetroPCS), but that hasn't ever been an option. I suppose we'll continue to push them to offer the Pre for now.
Thank you! – Cynthia Armistead, on November 24, 2009 20:39

Because Airset isn't compatible with the newer version of Palm Desktop, I switched to syncing with Outlook. I still prefer using Palm Desktop, but Outlook works. It's silly of Airset to blame this on a third-party vendor, though - they can always get someone else to develop a conduit that *does* work with the later versions.-
