Trying to use the info gathered in other thread about 2.6, are you using any strange Wordpress plug-ins such as Customize or similar?

Sorry, we have no idea why this isn't working for you. Please continue using extension and hopefully with time our plugin will start working in one of future versions.

The extension worked most of the time, but not always.

An API key is set for the plugin preference. I don't think my host is blocking anything obvious, otherwise things like Akismet wouldn't work as well, right?

Did the extension work for you?

Can you check in plugin preferences if you have API key set there?

It might be possible that your provider is blocking some requests. In that case you'll have to use extension.

In wordpress 2.6, I installed the plugin, but I keep getting the 'oops!' error. BTW, I used to have the firefox extension installed, but uninstalled it. Zemanta is only running my wordpress blog now.
