iPhone app unable to checkinEverytime I try to give it another shot, tapping on "check in here" always gives me the error "We're having trouble checking you in. Can you try again in a minute or two?". I've had this problem since I downloaded the app; that was 3 weeks ago. I think it's been more than enough minutes or two.
I've checked other threads about the issue, but none have a real solution offered.
A comment on the question "Is Loopt Mix a standalone app or standalone service?" in Loopt:
Thanks for the clarification, Chris. I recently read about the nearby activity stream to Loopt Mix, and I think it's a great addition. The one thing I think Loopt Mix could benefit from would be the option to push Loopt updates from the main Loopt service to the Loopt Mix profile if a user wants to do so. Exiting one app to update the status on another when both are services from a single source is a bit redundant.. – thechexican, on October 24, 2009 13:02

Is Loopt Mix a standalone app or standalone service? So I downloaded the new Loopt Mix app this morning, thinking it would provide a deeper level of functionality to the Mix service on the core Loopt app. When I fired it up, it asked me to create a Loopt Mix profile, and that it would pull the profile data from my existing Loopt account (screenshot 1). As soon as the process was done, my profile was created, but some information was missing and updates posted to my profile via the Loopt app and PC website were not showing up on the profile on Loopt Mix.
I deleted the profile, and checked that all of my personal information on Loopt (email address, phone number, etc.) were up to date since i switched to a new iPhone with a new phone number a couple weeks ago. Once everything was verified to be updated, I had Loopt Mix create the profile again, and it generated a blank one (screenshot 2).
So, the question I have is whether or not Loopt Mix is supposed to be actually pulling my information from my Loopt profile and the updates I post to it like the old basic version of Mix used to, or if updates to Mix have to be done in the Mix app. If so, it seems far too redundant to me, rendering Loopt Mix an app/service feature that's going to sit unused.
I understand that the new iteration of the mix feature is in beta, so I don't know if I'm experiencing a bug or if this is actually the way it is supposed to work...

Having the same issue. My profile page was showing double (and a couple triple) duplicate icons for some services. I went to the services page, and unlinked all of my accounts from my Cliqset account.
As of current, there is nothing under "Your Active Services" on the Services page, but my profile page is still showing 8 icons under "Services Used".

iPhone app login issue - Says loading plurks, doesn't actually load them. What gives?Back when I discovered Plurk, I thought it was a very nifty concept (although the horizontal flash timeline really needs to go). I downloaded the iPhone app, and had a nice vertical flow with dates, which made it even better than the website.
So I haven't used the app for a couple months now. At first, I thought it was something an update would fix, but the problem is still persisting.
I'm firing up the app, and it says it's "Loading Plurks..." And that little circular loading animation runs and runs and runs. I've been letting it run for awhile before I started typing this, at 7pm PST, and still nothing. Oh, and to boot, it's seemingly unable to load them and my phone is connected to my home wifi.
So, uh...what's going on with this thing?
It shouldn't take over 10 minutes to load Plurks.

So...this feature still comin'? :-p – thechexican, on May 12, 2009 20:56

Suggestion: Selective Cross-postingOne little feature I would go crazy for: Selective cross-posting (ESPECIALLY on the iPhone app). There should be an easy way to toggle whether or not you want an update to be posted to twitter/facebook when updating. Not all of my Brightkite updates are meant to be Twittered of Facebooked, but having to go to the settings and disable cross posting is kind of lame.

Incorrect Password Error, Don't Know Why I'm Getting itI bought the iPhone app, and went to set it up. When it asked for my password, I was told I had entered the wrong password. I then tried to log in via the web app, and it wouldn't let me because of an incorrect password error. I know which password I entered, so I don't understand why I'm getting a wrong password error.
I've emailed my username (thechexican) from the email account I have associated with the username to feedback@memiary.com, and have still not gotten any help on the issue. Assistance please?
