TimrTimbuk2 replied on October 28, 2009 18:49 to the question "Laptop Messenger vs. Mullett: What's the difference?" in Timbuk2:
Hey Burt,
The bag is bigger than the laptop messenger. It has a zipper laptop compartment on the backside of the bag. This holds entire biz center that keeps all of your work stuff on one side of the bag. It has a padded laptop sleeve as well as fold-over flap pocket, pen slots and 4 other pockets to keep stuff where you want it. It has molded foam panels on the bag to give you some padding and help with ventilation. One of 'em craftily conceals a pocket for easy to grab stuff. Inside the main section of the bag is a cool nylon interior that houses 4 zipper compartments plus the main compartment. There is significantly more sewing, zippers and pockets, bells and whistles on the mullet and it's reflected in the price.
Hope this helps. If you need more info, you can contact customerservice@timbuk2.com.

TimrTimbuk2 replied on October 14, 2009 19:20 to the question "Did the laptop compartment size change over the years?" in Timbuk2:
Hey there - the laptop sleeve sizes have changes as well have all of the computers we're accomodating. If you're in doubt of whether it will fit or not, you want to look at the dimensions tab under the "Add to Cart" button on the product page. Look for the "Fits Computers with dimensions not to exceed" box. It will provide the maximum dimensions for that specific bag. If you still have questions, give customer service a call at 1-800-865-2513 and we'll help figure it out.
TimrTimbuk2 replied on October 14, 2009 19:15 to the problem "Color inconsistencies and changes" in Timbuk2:
Derek,
Thanks for your praise and questions about your Timbuk2 experiences. The question of the navy blue is really tough because any time you work with a fabric, if the fabric isn't from the same dye lot, the fabric is going to be slightly different eventhough it might be the exact same color dye. And things are bound to change in 5+ years.
From a technical standpoint, the Web platform has a limited number of colors that can be displayed. There will be times when the color is a little different than it looks on the screen. When you pair that with the fact that the colors are photographed in full spectrum light and the variances between monitors we do run into this issue now and then.
As for the green color... sorry about that. We simply were out of stock on it and now it's back. If the dark green vs. graphite green is a deal breaker for you, then contact customer service and we'll try to work something out for you.
TimrTimbuk2 replied on September 21, 2009 20:33 to the question "Are Reflector Tails Available for Non-Custom Classic Messenger Bags?" in Timbuk2:
Hi there! Classics only have tabs and lack the necessary buckles to use the tails -unless you build a custom bag. We still offer the tails as an option, but for the stock bags it's tabs.
If you need any more information - just give us a shout at customerservice@timbuk2.com

TimrTimbuk2 replied on September 21, 2009 20:23 to the question "New material?" in Timbuk2:
Hi there - no you're not crazy. It was a here today/gone tomorrow might be back (probably not) kind of situation. There were some issues with the fabric that made it necessary to disable it. There is a small chance that it might be back again in the future, but there is no plan to bring it back any time soon.

TimrTimbuk2 replied on August 21, 2009 23:27 to the problem "problem erasing my billboard bag" in Timbuk2:
Hey mr. lama... time to make lemonade from those lemons. The color just needs to become part of your next design. As our jamie said.... "get all tattoo-artist on your bag and do a cover-up! turn wynona into wino! a "unique" butterfly into a dragon-killing-gnome! billy bob into, well, she didn't cover it up, but you can't get laser removal of a permanent marker, so, well, you get my point."
TimrTimbuk2 replied on August 21, 2009 23:10 to the question "Why are there so few colors in the BagBuilder?" in Timbuk2:
Like a plate of brownies on the table.. if you see something you like... you gotta act quick. Colors, fabrics and styles are in seasons and sometimes once they're gone they're gone for good. We will have 3-4 color updates every year. The good thing is that we do often bring colors back. The next update for fall will be the 3rd or 4th week of September.

TimrTimbuk2 replied on July 16, 2009 23:39 to the question "New Commute 2.0 Question" in Timbuk2:
Hey there - the best thing to do is to measure the laptop while it's in the sleeve and then check it against the dimensions tab online. There is a box that says "Fit's computers with dimensions not to exceed"... if your dimensions are bigger than what's listed.... go up a size - you'll be glad you did.
TimrTimbuk2 replied on July 16, 2009 23:37 to the idea "I want Timbuk2 Diaper Bags!" in Timbuk2:
T2's for tots! A great alternative to Pooh (winnie the, not the other kind). We have had lots of requests for the bag and some day the bag might come. We're lobbying hard to be able to save tot toting hipsters the horror of the pink and purple diaper bag. In the mean time, by utilizing some organizer pouches available at target.com or amazon.com you can turn your timbuk2 messenger, cargo tote or pack into the stealth diapering bag of your dreams.
