Hi Dblockfox,
I'm sorry that you're having audio trouble. You are playing back a video message, correct? If so, it could be that the loud high pitched tone that you are hearing was recorded by the sender of the video message. Can you tell whether that individual was using headphones when recording?
Thanks for your patience.
Best,
Lauren

A comment on the problem "Why can't other people hear me?" in TokBox:
Hi Michael,
Thanks for the clarification. Does this audio problem occur during a conference call with 3+ people or during a 1:1 call? Is it the same person that consistently can't hear you?
Thanks,

Hi Thomas,
I'm sorry you're having trouble using the site. Are you working on a recent version of Flash (http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/)?
Thanks,

Lauren replied on November 20, 2009 05:49 to the question "Can I prevent search engines from finding my Tokbox profile?" in TokBox:
Hi Smilefomee,
Thanks for your note. TokBox limits access to site information by third party search engine "crawlers" so your profile should not appear as a search result.
The only time this may happen is if you publicly post a video message you had recorded on a blog or website. Is there a chance that is what occurred?

Lauren replied on November 20, 2009 04:45 to the question "Using Tokbox" in TokBox:
Hi John,
Directions for making a TokBox video call are below:
1) Login to TokBox
2) Start a video chat by selecting the "start a video chat" button along the top menu OR select "Create a video" then "chat" from the left menu.
3) There are several ways to invite your friends to a call:
* Using the social invite tools: Tweet the call URL, post the call URL to your Facebook or Myspace status
* Select the "Invite" button, and select "Share this link". Copy and paste the call URL to any email or instant message
* Selct the "Invite" feature and select TokBox friends. Or drag and drop friends from your contact list into the call widget.
4) You should be all set!
I hope that helps, but please let me know if you have any other questions!
Best,
Lauren

Hi Kiana,
I'm sorry that you're having trouble with TokBox. I have a few more questions for you regarding this issue:
- Just to verify, you can't receive incoming calls because the call invitation is never received, and you can't invite someone to video chat, because they never receive the invitation?
- Are you and the caller confirmed friends? If one of you has your privacy settings to only allow calls from people on your friends list, the call will not be initiated.
- Have you ever had a successful video chat on TokBox?
- What type of operating system and internet browser are you using?
I hope to hear back from you soon.
Best,
Lauren

Hi Rajsiania,
Tokbox currently doesn't fully support the Linux platform, which means that Tokbox can't guarantee that the site will work with Linux machines at this time.
Potential resources that might help you resolve Tokbox cam detection issues:
Linux discussion forums: http://www.linuxforums.org/
The Flashcam project: http://www.swift-tools.net/Flashcam/
64-bit machines:
If you're on a 64-bit system using Linux, installing the Adobe Plugin for 64-bit machines might help resolve some webcam and microphone detection
issues. You can download the 64-bit plugin here: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/flash...
I hope that helps.

Hi Profrea,
Thanks for reporting this issue. What type of internet browser and operating system are you using?
When you say that no video is shown, do you mean that the call window does appear, but where your video image would be, it's black? Have you attempted to use the cam mic settings while in the call (see the wrench in the left corner of the call window)?
I appreciate your patience.
Best,
Lauren

Lauren replied on November 16, 2009 16:55 to the problem "Why doesn't my webcam work?" in TokBox:
Hi Michael,
Do you have Skype running in the background when you attempt to use TokBox? If so, the camera may already be in "use" by Skype, so you need to shut down the program so that TokBox can detect your camera.
Also, have you gone through our cam mic settings on TokBox? Click My TokBox, then you will see a cam mic settings option. A new window will pop up and make sure to follow the onscreen directions.
Thanks,
Lauren
Lauren replied on November 13, 2009 00:55 to the question "Sizing the Preview Window for Presentations" in TokBox:
Hi John,
Thanks for your note. Just to make sure I understand what you are asking: you would like to re-size the content sharing window in your video conference/call?
To resize the content video window in a conference, click in the top right corner of the content video window. You can enlarge it so that it takes up the majority of the call, or downsize it so that it is equal in size to all other video windows.
We don't have anymore size customization at this time. I hope that helps, but please let me know if you have additional questions.
Best,
Lauren

Kizmut,
Thanks for reporting this issue. We haven't seen this before, so we did a bit of research and found that this may be a problem linked to Windows.
Try the fix suggested in the link below, and let me know if the problem still persists:

Hi Madlabpost,
Thanks for your note. TokBox doesn't currently have a save/record feature for video conferences.
There are programs available on the web that will allow you to record video of activity on your computer. I can't endorse third party applications, but I can point you in the right direction. A google search for 'record video of onscreen action' yielded the following results:

I hope that helps but please let me know if you have any other questions!
