Diane, a build is like a version number. It shows up while you're starting up MS, or go to the Help > About Mediashout menu entry and it is in the top RH corner. If you don't have that build then use Help > Check for Updates to get it. Regards, Tom – Tom Green, on June 07, 2009 09:03

I believe that you're referring to the line that shows where a cue or section ends. If so, I think you'll see that a single graphic cue, for example, doesn't have one.

The divider can be useful when you're dragging in new content, especially if you need to show what is going inside a section and what is going outside (after) the section. There are probably other benefits, but that's the first that comes to mind.

When you are in the Cue Editor and on the Forground tab the Edit button is active and includes Check Spelling.

I just saw your post again while searching for another issue, and noticed that my b107 is showing the double zeros for a Video File (this one was an AVI). see clip below. It also took input as two digit pairs automatically.

Brian, It may be that you can only apply existing templates when you're working in the Text Deck, but if you have your Text Cue in the Script area, you can certainly edit it. In the Cue Editor, changing the background allows you to set a graphic.


...or you could drag and drop a graphic over the cue and choose "Replace Background". Hopefully I've understood your question correctly.

Can I show just one Entry per Topic on the Dashboard?

My expectation was that the dashboard would give me focus, by showing just one entry for each topic that I had an interest in. This would enable me to quickly find a particular topic when I wanted to review it.

Instead it appears to be a log of all activity on those topics, so I still have to wade through a lot of stuff.

I know this isn't a MediaShout issue, but I wasn't sure where else to ask the question - is there a way to get such a dashboard view?

I'm hesitant to say that the problem has gone away, because I had reproduced it using b105.2 at the time I entered this problem. However, it may be that because I have duplicate entries (separate post) I have always been trying to use the same entry.

Just now when I was checking out what James had said to my other post, I found that The Message was working. When I'm next at church, I'll try turning off one version, and then the other, and see if one is good and the other bad on that PC.

If that's the case, then it may be a simple case of some corruption on my Upgrade DVD, which is not present in the online resource.

Thanks, James. It seemed to still come back, but that may have been because of the things I was trying to do to get The Message to work (separate post). Tried again just now - turned off all the duplicates. OK. Shutdown MS and restarted - OK. So that looks good.

Kevin, I can't be sure what you're doing, but if I go into Cue Editor; the Foreground tab; select the Cue level ('stanza', not tab); View: Advanced; and I change the default font etc; then it seems to be come part of the template. Is it possible you had a Verse selected and simply changed the font for that stanza, thinking you were changing it for everything?
