In addition to integration on the voice input/creation front (which would be fab) I would love it if ReQall and iWantSandy could be integrated somehow for the IM reminders.
I love my IM reminders because sometimes I have my phone on my person and sometimes I do not. It pinging both SMS and IM is the ideal method for me. But I never got the Sandy IM via Twitter method to work and IM reminders are so easy to set up with ReQall.

That "13 cents a day to pay for Jott" is a sunk cost whether you use Jott each of those days or not. And it totals up to almost $50 a year. Plus, that only gets you 15 second Jotts. I find that if I try to get what I want to get to Sandy into a 15 second Jott, the transcription is unreadable, senseless. And if you want to have 30 seconds per Jott message, which you will most likely need in order to spell out the words that Jott chokes on, you'll be paying about $150 per year!
Nah - not me!

FYI, dial2do now works with Sandy. I posted a new topic here:

I think there's a hack which may allow you to integrate the two, but it isn't clean. If you use Yahoo Pipes, you can filter your reQall RSS feed to extract only the entries with the keywords you want to use for iwantsandy (e.g. remember and remind) - if you take the resulting RSS feed, you can use www.rssfwd.com to send these entries to a GMail account, which can forward those to iwantsandy. (The result is reQall RSS -> Yahoo Pipes RSS -> rssfwd -> GMail -> iwantsandy)
It is really hackish and nasty though, and introduces huge latencies as each step updates and continues along.
Personally, I'd just like to be able to send commands to iwantsandy through reQall. I'm perfectly happy if I simply get iwantsandy e-mails in response - if there is some more powerful way to integrate the two, I'd be curious, but just e-mail results are fine by me.

Hey, I got an answer back from their support! They say that this fix is in the works, and will be rolled out in the next week or two. Then, we should be able to create custom commands, the e-mails will come from our own address, and it will work exactly like Jott used to. – Quasihellfish, on October 01, 2008 20:05

Are you using their new "make your own command" feature? I just logged onto their site for the first time in a while, and tried it out because it would be a lot cleaner if it worked this way. But you're right, e-mails com from the 'donotreply' address, so it doesn't work. The way I got it to work was to create a new contact, and use your private sandy address. This way, the e-mails come from the e-mail address you used to signup with Dial2Do. The only annoyance is that it's a multi step process to say "email", then "sandy", then wait for the address to be read back to you, then say your message. But it does work this way. If the custom command worked, it would be perfect. I'll be submitting a suggestion via their site. – Quasihellfish, on September 30, 2008 19:50

@Quasihellfish: thanks for the great trip about Dial2Do; I'm looking for something that works from the UK and this looks like it might be just the ticket. I'm probably being completely dense, but can you talk me through how you get Dial2Do to work with Sandy? Since emails through Dial2Do come from their 'donotreply' address, I'd have thought Sandy wouldn't recognise them... Any help much appreciated! ;-) – josefeen, on September 30, 2008 12:50

Sorry for the late reply...I needed to actually sit at my computer to accurately answer your question & am not able to at work. I tend to rely heavily on my iPhone these days....
Pageonce will update your information whenever you log in. It will also let you know the last time it received information from that particular account. If you want to see if there is more recent information, click on the update/reload button. It will update that account to what I can get as of "now."
You get the same information on your iPhone as on your browser, except the iPhone app opens on the accounts page rather than the updates page.
Pageonce updates me when there are "important changes in your account" if you select that option in the settings. It also emails you when you have not visited it "in a while." (I've had them tell me this.)
It works to track UPS, Amazon & several other companies. I have not used this, though. I use the free Delivery Status widget on my Mac and now the corresponding iPhone app.
As far as I know it does not monitor air travel (but it does track my miles).
You cannot sent it commands, but they do take suggestions at support@pageonce.com. They are also continuously adding services to the site.
Hope this answers your questions. You can get more information at pageonce.com. If you want more of my personal experience, just post here. Things are smoothing out at work & I should be able to respond on weekends. – Alysson, on September 21, 2008 15:43

Chris, In Dial2do you just have to mark a little pause then pronouce "at todo" for @todo, and it workes fine for me. – Pierre, on September 19, 2008 16:13

Ruchi Minocha replied on September 15, 2008 22:17 to the question "How long does it take from when a contact is added to when you can actually share with them?" in reQall:
To start sharing:
1. Please log in to your account on www.reqall.com.
2. Add a contact.
3. Invite to reQall - When you add a contact you should be prompted to invite them to reQall. You can also mouse over the contact's name and click on "Invite to reQall" which appears on the right. Once your contact is a reQall user you can proceed to the next step.
4. Invite them to share with you - Again you should be prompted, else you can mouse over the contact and click on "Invite to share" which appears on the right.
5. Once your contact has accepted the invitation to share, you are ready to share. This contact is now your reQall buddy.
6. Keywords "ask", "tell" or "remind" followed by the reQall buddy's name will help you share the item with them.
Please let us know if you need more information on sharing. We'll be happy to help.

Dial2Do, out of the box, works almost perfectly with Sandy already. I switched to it after Jott went out of beta. The only thing that doesn't work is tagging (like saying "tag with ....", the way we used to do with Jott). Because the messages are sent to Sandy just the same way an e-mail would, Sandy would have to be trained to look for "tag with" commands from any e-mail, not just from Jott. If she did this, then she could conceivably work with any voice-to-email transcription service.
