The way to hide your email (so that it is not public) is through the 'Edit Profile' -> 'Privacy' tab
To chat & play games you need to have an email address that has been validated as your own. You might be having problems because the email is not valid
Have you tried clicking on the link sent to your email account? (You can click the 'Resend validation' link to resend that email)

There possibly was another flash-based app that was running when it tried to update.

First try downloading the latest version by visiting this url using Firefox:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

If that doesn't work, download and run the flash uninstaller. This will uninstall the flash player for both IE and Firefox (mozilla-based) browsers:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157...

After uninstalling, go back to www.chesscube.com/play & the correct version should auto-install.

This could very likely be the foreign keyboard support feature which is a bit buggy. Try point 2. in my answer to the following topic:

2. If it is, try selecting / unselecting the menu option 'Help -> Foreign keyboard support'. Sometimes this feature can cause problems.

There might be a setting or new plugin that has changed in your Firefox. You most probably wont get the same problem in a different browser. Have a look at the following post to possibly help:

Our new version will prevent this potential problem from happening. In the meantime I can recommend trying a different browser or tweaking your Firefox settings.

To the right of the board there is a panel that contains your move history. In this panel below the moves is a chat text area and a Send button. Are you able to see this? What is your screen resolution, maybe it is very low and this is being cut off?

This might be because the app is not being cached and so downloads from the Internet every time. This can be confirmed if you see the preloader while you're waiting for the login screen to appear.
If this is the case, check the cache settings on your browser and make sure caching is enabled:

Empty groups that aren't one of the default groups (General, Family, Friends) automatically get deleted the next time you log in.

This is not ideal, but sufficient for now. So to rename a group, create a new group & move all the items into that group. The older group will be deleted the next time you login if it is empty.

Have you looked at your profile page yet? It has pie charts of your games as white & black. At the top of these charts there are total scores for each, as white and black.

Could you send a screenshot? I can imagine this happening from 2 possible reasons:
1. Your page is maximized (via the min/max button on the top-right of the screen)
2. When playing games, the move history is not properly aligned.

With a screenshot I would have a better idea what the problem could be.

It looks like this is because of some particular setting in your Firefox, most likely Zoom or a plugin. Try the following & let us know whether it fixes your problem:
1. Are you using Firefox?
2. If so, do you have any particular view settings switched on, for example Zoom?
3. What you can try is in Firefox, go to the menu options:
'View -> Zoom -> Reset'
