A comment on the idea "GPS support for Windows Mobile" in Qik:

Have tried this cab on htc6800. The GPS works nicely. However, I have been rotated to landscape, but find it undesirable. Should I downgrade to regain portrait mode? – bemyax, on November 19, 2008 03:18

I used the HTC TY TYN II download and got pretty far. Well, not far enough, but I was able to log in and render a stream. I was stuck in authorizing hell though. I was never validated. I was able to interact with the menus and I could even turn on the stream. I couldn't record and it never did anything beyond that.

Come on folks, you've got customers chomping at the bit to use your stuff...get a giddy up in that step :)

I flashed to the Garmin Manila 2D ROM and QIK is working again.

Try pressing the number 2 on your keypad. You should get a brief vibrate then the flash will turn off. Press 2 again to toggle it back on.

I'm using HyperDragon III Opal, from October 3 and it works perfectly. I still don't know what makes one version work, but another one not.

Using HyperDragon III Pro ROM and the QIK does not launch. It turns the screen sideways and then crashes.

I'm disappointed in the angst of the users above: QIK is an awesome service. It looks foolish to strong-arm this free, cool service. If you don't like something, call it a feature request, not a bug..

Jane @ QIK: I have to admit, I'm really disappointed in your replies-- they quite wholly miss the point. My original inquiry is "how can I show a single movie without any other streams linked from" when I so choose? If it's a feature request, ok, great: let's have a flashParams pair something like "linkothermovies=false" option...

Everyone else, chill out a bit.. QIK rocks. This feature will make it even more rockin'.

Although I love this service but I have to completely agree with ashtangaBoy. Not being able to send only on video will significantly reduce my use of this application, and also not tell as many people about it, because of worrying about what I have posted pryor.!.!

You don't call something that users DO NOT want a feature. If you can put in, you can take out. Why isn't QIK concerned about this? functionality is supposed to function FOR users, not FORCE them to "do as we say."
