UK Duke shared an idea in Yola on December 09, 2009 13:15:
The style i always wanted...This is the site style i have always wanted.
I've used round glass but decided it didnt suit the style of my site.
http://hexham.info
Notice the banner is a link and the page is 1100px wide.
I' going to redesign the search then set it site wide.
If you like this style and would like to see it available - be heard on this thread,
It would be just a slight change to the css of a certain free style.

Good news Will,
Remember to join Yola and me :)

<!--
The code for the twitter share links is
<script type="text/javascript">
tweetmeme_source = 'hexham_info';
</script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://tweetmeme.com/i/scripts/button.js"></script>
-->
Be sure to change where it says hexham_info to the username you use for twitter.
Enjoy

A comment on the question "2 column layout not working as expected!?" in Yola:
When you use the change layout feature it auto widths the columns to fit the content - it can be annoying - i would suggest sticking with the widget if you dont like the effect of the main layout change.

Like a little kid whos told 'dont touch' i just had to look - sorry :)
It looks great - i had seen that thick line in IE7 but ignored it as its an old browser.
Did you follow the steps to remove the bottom line and corner details of the original image on this thread?
I got sick of this style and decided to use a custom clean slate - see http://hexham.info - 1100 px wide with a smaller banner and now the standard links are my colour and not underlined, o yeah and the images now dont have a border by default - its the style ive always wanted (but dont tell Yola staff :)

John youve got 2 options - run the center peice of the code through that javascript converter or just copy and paste the whole thing into notepad and save it as a html file, show it through a i frame.
Its up to you - as you want to edit it all the time i would choose the second option - it will be much easier to add to and change.
Now you have this wonderfully spaced code from Boomer.
It works great i just tested it. width 200 height 650.

UK Duke replied on December 07, 2009 16:00 to the question "How can I use my own .co.il domain." in Yola:
You can use any domain name as long as you can access the dns settings - or even if you can not you could set up something with a 3rd party company.
Have a look through these see if they help you understand what to do:

what are the odd's? Our sites are born on the same day December 12th -- Wierd - you have a massive website grader score - 97.7 - im not doing to bad with 93 - you have 2 and half thousand back links which is really great.
Any ideas why website grader never find my blog?

nice 1 boomer - i dont want to make extra work for you but you might as well go the whole hog and add the css to a css file and link to it - that way the content and the style of the sidebar will be controlable site wide. – UK Duke, on December 07, 2009 14:44
UK Duke replied on December 07, 2009 14:41 to the question "Problem implementing CSS code" in Yola:
<!--
The code above is a bit broken by the fourm so its hard to tell.
If you add this at the top of the page in a html widget
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://sd.mcran.com/assets/menu/alphabet.css" />
Then you will have to somehow call the class so if you wrap all the code in a div so it looks like this
<div class="alphabet">
<a href="http://www.mcran.com/a.php">A</a>•
<a href="http://www.mcran.com/b.php">B</a>
</div>
That should do it.

Hi Will,
How are you?
Backlinks my friend - thats whats needed, and back links from high ranked sites.
I really good easy one is twitter -- everytime you share a page on twitter its a back link to your site. You could look around for other similar services.
I use share links on all my pages - share it a few times on twitter and google picks it up as a being worhty content.
If you decide to take this route and join twitter i can give you the code for the share links, see here for example (bottom of the page) http://hexham.info/joan-thirlaway
