Hi Mike,
For me the best part of Yola Pro is the ability to upload CSS, html and java files. I have found this very useful, both in tidying up my pages and giving me site wide style control.

Hi guys,
Mines not working very well - If you go to my hom page and click the rss link (near the bottom) you will see 9 times out of 10 you are taken to the xml file and not given the chance of subscribing.

presume it would...
The main thing is to try and not have duplicate content, i.e. for google to think of it as 1 site not 2 - either or, whay do you want the www.?
Either ways good whatever you like, the whole .php or not .php is just as important i think - i have now changed every internal link in my site not to use the .php - or at least most of them. - I still know for a fact google have both versions of some pages ranked.

Nice one Ed - Thats what i call team work :) -- You can see my site is much better now - as is yours. Do you have a pro account or just a new style? - If you have a pro you might as well get all that java and css into files, maybe its on your list :)
Again thanks for doing the image - alls well that ends well.
I hoep Yola fix it soon - or maybe we should start selling our work around? :)
Take care - Lee. – UK Duke, on November 25, 2009 14:01

Boomer,
You want to stick with the non www, its doing better, i would suggest you need the canonical domain to be without the www.
This is done Yola side. They did it for me.
You can also set a prefered domain in your webmasters account.
Then you have to try and get as many of the links to your site without the www.
Also try to get the pages right - always linked either with or without the .php
I hate all this stuff, i have now managed to get my site 360 pages ranked from www. and only 50 from with www. - i still beleive some of that tho is double content with and without the .php.

Thanks Rian,
Just to expand on a couple of points, things i'd like to see.
- the blog - more style control and built in comments
- rss readers - hosted at yola full style control
- social share - i'm sure this could be made pretty quick, a set of icons you drag into the page which allows that page to be shared acroos certain big social sites.
Thanks again Rian. Lee. – UK Duke, on November 25, 2009 11:36

The first 5 suggestions yes they should be apart of the free builder, i think any kind of log in system that was worth anything should be a pro feature, i would only really want a log in that had a decent bit of database control, some things very basic users dont want or need to think about. – UK Duke, on November 25, 2009 11:21

Glad its working - it looks good - well done.
To finish it off you need to add the smooth sailing script...
Add this to your page and see the effect it has
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.3.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://hexham.info/resources/bookmarkscroll.js">
-->
If you want to host the java file yourself go here and download the file, upload it to your server and point to its url - http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicin...

Johnny, leave the staff a little more info, what domain did you buy?
When it comes to money and personal details its always better you email yola support - support@yola.com
I'm sure it will be sorted out really soon dont worry.

So now you see that anything can go into the floating bar. Now we have to make the anchor links.
An anchor link works like this:
Put this <a name="a"> anywhere you like on the page (obviously it would go at the top of the a's on the real page.
Then add this (lets say) near the top of the page <a href="#a">A</a>
Thats it.
The same works for B -- <a name="b"> -- <a href="#b">B</a> and so on.
Also just so you know, with that floating bar you can change the width of it and the colour of it in the css your given from the page.

remember that you will need to change the URL of the images in the CSS to resources/imagename.png – UK Duke, on November 24, 2009 11:20
