Sorry for giving you bad hopes but you confirm my doubt: ipod addon isn't working in 1.4.*

And as it is now open source POTI won't make a priority to correct it, I just hope it will be done soon.

Normally your ipod should be recognized (but I'm not sure this is the end of your problems).

Unfortunately Klint you're wrong: old models are no longer supported: the ipod addon isn't working in 1.4.*.

Even if I agree on the fact that POTI can't support iPod addon I think they could "repair" it, because if not hte work of the developpers to make it works before is wasted.

But that only my opinion.

It is a problem known with the new version of ubuntu (Karmic).

For activating covert art tag there is an option in the Songbird preferences:

Tools > Options > Album Artwork > Write Album Artwork to metadata

With this option activated it should work well.

I agree with you this button is not even necessary (right click on the playlist is enough for me).

The extension "Pane Buttons" allows you to hide this button, but it is not yet fully compatible to 1.4.1 (The option works well if you disable compatibility check).
