Whether I have tweaked the code to absolute perfection or not, it seems to me there's no doubt the error is with Gigahost..

I've installed the exact same script here (web5.gigahost.dk rather than web9.gigahost.dk), and hooked it up with an exact copy of the database (mysql2.gigahost.dk rather than mysql3.gigahost.dk)..

Load time has dramatically improved..

Thanks for your help, you guys, but this is a Gigahost issue, and hopefulle they'll own up to it soon..

Alright.. That makes a bit more sense to me.. Well, the query I run on the front page there is:

"FROM table WHERE field = 'value' ORDER BY id DESC"

If I put "DESCRIBE" in front of that, PHPMyAdmin gives me this..

id = 1
select_type = SIMPLE
table type = items
possible_keys = ALL
key = NULL
key_len = NULL
ref = NULL
rows = 2
Extra = Using where; Using filesort

Thanks, Jacob.. But I don't get it.. Never heard of DESCRIBE before, and when I run it in phpMyAdmin, it gives something similar to what SELECT would have..

I'm very much against the choice between circles and squares.. Keep it simple.. Choose one for us, and let that be it.. (Still hope you choose circles, but if you've got good reason not to, well then that's your decision..)

They aren't pretty, but that's not the main issue.. It just feels wrong.. It's as if you hit it with the absolute best timing, and still it just passes through and breaks your streak.. Might be that I'm used to the other ones, and that over time, I'd get used to these ones too, but honestly I haven't felt like playing all day, cause I just can't get anything right with the squares..

Thanks for a quick reply! I love businesses that use getsatisfaction.. They're all just _so_ much cooler than the rest..!

Thank you! That got me a lot closer to getting this thing to work.. Still have trouble logging in, which means my videos keep being uploaded to http://qik.com/4540255585 rather than http://qik.com/wendelboe..

It doesn't log in by itself and when I go to "i"->"user profile"->"sign in"->"login" and type my username and password, I receive a text with a link, but qik keeps telling me it seems it'll take a while, and that I should type in "the code" manually.. I click "type code manually" and end up at a page saying "this is the stop-browsing page".. It seems I'm logged in as NULL, so I log out and log in as Wendelboe.. I hit "done" and figure everything is fine.. I record a video, and wait for it to show up in my name, but it seems it still goes to http://qik.com/4540255585.. If I click "i"->"user profile" now, it seems I'm logged in as me, but vids still end up wrong..

Oh, and I'm on a first gen iPhone, by the way..
