Spotify always thinks it's offline

After the forced update, Spotify is stuck in offline mode (I'm obviously online as I'm posting this). Restarting app does not fix this. Cannot play any music. This bug has rendered Spotify useless. (Gone back to iTunes :) )

System: Intel MacBook Pro 10.6

I'm from the UK and pretty peeved about this, this policy has been in effect for 2 months, why can't Songbird leave this check to Last.fm and not muck it up for the rest of us?

I've just got Songbird, thinking this would be a great iTunes replacement as I use Last.fm and iTunes (as well as Spotify).

Anyhow, the error Songbird gives the error:

In order to listen to Last.fm Radio, you must be a subscriber.

This is in complete violation of Last.fm's policy, which of course I'm very annoyed about. This has been in effect for over two months, why isn't it fixed?

Without Last.fm, iTunes and the Mac Last.fm client make a better pair than Songbird.

I followed the advice from mattias.arrelid, it fixed it for a while but the the bug returned.
