I have this same problem using v3,21 on PS CS4. It works correctly on CS3 though. Any other suggestions? I've currently got CS4 set to use 90% memory but I can't remember why as I use CS3 most of the time because of Adobe problems :o(
Edit: Saw other question. Reduced CS4 memory to 60% no error. At 65% you get the error... why?
I'll see how CS4 gets on with 60% memory.

Tried the dll first. No change as far as I could see. My test regime (random test which produced the result) was to open a 12Mp NEF as a smart object, apply a topaz dramatic preset, go back to OPEN in the history, rasterize the smart object and then try to apply the topaz preset again. Out of memory (but not in task manager).
However putting Photoshop memory preference up to 90% has made it bullet proof so far. I opened 5 NEFs as smart objects simultaneously, performed various operations on them and then tried to apply Adjust to one with complete success. I will let you know if I get any further problems.
Does any of this confirm your thoughts?

No they haven't :o(
I get the impression that it doesn't happen as often and also that it's a bit hit and miss if it will happen.
Have a look at a screen grab which shows the current condition and settings where to use Adjust produces an out of memory error.

I have both Photoshop CS3 and CS4 installed at different locations. I uninstalled V2.5 and installed V2.6. The installer put a link to Adjust in the plugin directories of both as it did the last time.
In CS3 V2.6 works perfectly. In CS4 Adjust fails to open with
Error!
Error while unpacking program, code E2, please report to author.
Acknowledging this produces the Windows error
Adobe Photoshop CS4
Could not complete the Topaz Adjust command because Cannot load tliadjust26_dll.dll.
Is it something I have done or is it back in your court Albert?
I noticed that the link files that were put in the CS4 and CS3 directories were different sizes so I copied the one from the CS3 plugin directory to the CS4 plugin directory but got the same result

xrdbear reported a problem in Topaz Labs on November 06, 2008 00:56:
Out of memory in Photoshop CS4Photoshop doesn't release memory it has used with a previous operation. If I subsequently try a Topaz adjust operation on say a 50Mb file I get out of memory. If I save the version of the image, re-open it and try the Topaz operation immediately I do not get out of memory. I have 4Gb memory on XP pro and Photoshop is set to 70% use. I have tried 100% with no change.
Curiously CS3, installed on the same machine, has no such problems. Do you have any solutions?
