Is there any chance we could get ping.fm to actually pass the media itself (the picture) into facebook so that the status update will contain a thumbnail of the image instead of just the ping.fm media link? (it's OK with me if the update also contains the media link back to ping.fm... I just want Facebook to post a thumbnail in the status.) What do you say? Possible?
I encounter problems to add my wordpress into ping.fm. I have double checked my Username and Password, they are correct. But I still cant add the wordpress acct.
I've uploaded a photo to my ping.fm assigned e-mail address and it just posts a link to a ping.fm hosted photo. Does it load the photo in to flickr and Facebook? I both services configured to upload photos and nothing has happened.
Now that you have this great feature of taking pictures and posting them to Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, Ping, Etc, how about setting it up to automatically post to Picasa? They do have a private E-Mail address that users can send pictures to their ablums via e-mail.
Why does the Ping.fm Facebook application create a "Ping.fm Photos" album, but doesn't put photos in there. Instead it creates a link on my Status to go to Ping.fm to view the photo. I would like to see the Photos album get updated with the picture I sent.
when posting photos through ping.fm, it should upload it as a wall photo on facebook and as a link on twitter etc. You should be able to post through a URL or an actual upload
In the blog, you mention you are developing some Wordpress plugins. I've been creating a couple of Joomla extensions to receive & display messages from Ping.fm.
I wondered if you'd be interested in making these available to your customers when they are ready? Basically, I have a component that receives ping's (when set up as a CustomURL) and stores them in the database, and a module that can then display the latest n pings.
Just thought I'd mention it as I noticed your mention of the wordpress plug-in, and I guess this is along the same lines.
Hello! Is it possible to automatically send new articles from a joomla-website to ping.fm, so that the new article is spread by ping.fm? If not, would you be so kind to make that possible?
I don't know if this is a recent development, but I haven't noticed it until recently. When posting a message via Ping.fm through a third-party client (Twhirl and Tweetie), if my message contains square brackets "[]" the message before the brackets gets chopped off. If I post through the dashboard, no problems. Is this an API problem, a client problem, or what?
