Yesterday I posted a message via email which contained a German Umlaut (ä). The message was then posted on twitter with the word broken, "Besch?igungspolitik" instead of "Beschäftigungspolitik", on facebook or friendfeed it didn't appear at all.
I can't get GTalk to work with Ping. Emailing pingdotfm@gmail.com with my code doesn't do anything, and there's no way I can message Ping from my buddies list.
emailed in a post update WITH a picture but the picture did not make it, it was not in the final post or any of the services that Ping sent to. What happened?
I just signed up to post to Twitter & Facebook. Twitter showed it immediately--cool! Facebook hasn't. My status shows as "posting" but nothing happening. What do I do next??
I have been able to email ping updates but it has not worked for the last few days. It will work from the ping website, just not from my pda in email format. From the website it will update fb, myspace, linked in, etc...just no longer from email. Thoughts??
Using a T-Mobile Sidekick LX, the only way to update Ping is via email. However, when I use a custom trigger, it ignores the context of the trigger, but still posts the text of it.
For example, if I type: #status is going to work
it will update my Facebook and Myspace statuses with "#status is going to work"
Using the custom triggers through the dashboard does work, though. So I know it's not a trigger problem.
Cannot add the following networks: Wordpress.com, FriendFeed, or Blogger. Wordpress.com and FriendFeed let me login, but then that's all! Nothing happens. For Blogger, it says, "Could not authenticate your Blogger information", which is bogus!
I'm getting a "this site is parked for free at Go Daddy" when I try m.ping.fm on my phone. What is up with this? I have a T-Mobile Nokia something or other phone.
My Ping.fm e-mail address is suddenly not working via SMS. Everything was posting fine yesterday right after the DNS fiasco here but now...nothing. Can still post via the site itself but prefer to post on-the-go via PDA SMS e-mail. My carrier is AT&T. They support SMS e-mail so I know it's not them. Never had a problem until now. Been posting to Ping.fm via SMS e-mail for weeks now. HELP!
Hi there -- I am not sure that Ping.fm is updating Brightkite at the moment. My last to postings from my Ping.fm account have not shown up in my Brightkite account, but they have elsewhere. Is there a problem? Regards, AlanLB.
I have ping set up to post any pictures that I email to my ping.fm address to my Flickr account. But instead of making the image title that of the subject line from my email (as it normally does if I were to use the Flickr email address), it names the picture: "Posted by Ping.fm" and adds the subject of my email as a description of the image. There needs to be a setting or some way to change this because It is REALLY annoying. It makes posting to flickr via ping not so convenient. Click this box to see what I'm talking about -->
Trying to login to my blogger account and it keeps saying its wrong, when I can easily go to blogger, sign out, and then sign back in using the same info (which is the same as my google accounts period) and it logs me in) I tried multiple times using different variations of my email and user name with the same password that lets me get into blogger.. Why wont this work?
Posting by email is the most important feature of ping.fm, IMO. The problem is that it doesn't appear to be working at all. I sent a few emails last night, and they still don't appear on my "recent posts" page and they never made it to my "custom url". I tried again this morning, and still nothing.
I sent the emails from gmail to my posting e-mail address.
