'Custom URL' set up successfully but not updating blog
I have set up a custom url to update the blog on my website however, although it seemed to set up successfully, it does not update my blog. Obviously something is not correctly configured, any suggestions?

Inappropriate? How did you build the connector to receive pings and inject them into your blog on the other end?
I’m inquisitive

Inappropriate?Hi Matt, thanks for responding to my message. I basically followed the standard ping.fm set-up form - entered the custom url (url for my blog) all other boxes were ticked, although I have noticed that the 'update custom url' box is unchecked when I go in to look at it now - I ticked it again, but once again, the tick goes missing when I check this custom urls settings.

Inappropriate?OK, here's the thing---the custom URL feature does an HTTP POST to the URL you specify. You need to have code running on your end that receives the data and does something useful with it.
What kind of blog are you running? -
Inappropriate?Hi Matt, I see - this makes sense. The blog that I am running is a 'local' copy of a Wordpress blog. Is there anywhere to get hold of a sample piece of code that receives the data?

Inappropriate? There's a page that has some examples of working with a custom URL, but you'll still have to figure out how to hook everything into the WordPress backend.

Fortunately for you, I made a WordPress plugin that does exactly what you're asking for. ;-)
