Inappropriate?I am not sure how they would implement this, since OpenID takes you to your providers website for authentication.

Inappropriate?Thinking out loud.... If I logged into ping.fm with the same openID that I use for plaxo and ping.fm posted via my browser, it would work, right? Clunky, but work.
I think the better solution is for plaxo to have an api for ping.fm and others to use.

Inappropriate?Question: If it where possible to add/associate a "normal" login-username+password to the Plaxo-account as a secondary login-info (for us who use OpenID) would that help Ping? (If so, we could ask Plaxo to implement that.)
