What is Plazes tweeting?
I've tried some. But am still unsure about which activities get posted to Twitter and which don't. Someone here for a summary?
- "now" activities seem to be a yes
- "today" seems to get posted, too. although confusingly without the timestamp
- past and future? didn't dare trying, yet, as I feared it might be more confusing without the timestamp
- Website, plazer, text messages? Tried text messaging this morning. And although messages are "now" by default, it didn't get through to Twitter. Website and plazer seem to work, though.
So...what is published to Twitter and how? Someone please enlighten me.
(And possibly put some info on plazes.com; I may be stupid. But am I the only one not getting this?)

Inappropriate?Hi herr_schaft, as you might understand, the twitter integration has just been launched and still in a developing phase.
We are glad to see that this feature has a lot of success and we need all the possible feedback to improve it at best.
Currently all the activities planned for today (whether in the past or following hours) are automatically posted on twitter at the moment of their creation.
Moreover a today activity can only be posted if and only if it's public.

Thanks for answering. With your explanation given there must have been a liitle slip then this morning, when I plazed via text message and it did not get posted on Twitter. I'll keep trying.
As far as understanding the feature as being in a developing phase... I thought that was what the closed Beta was about ;)
But if you have features on the site that are not quite developed yet.... Maybe a note in the explanation on the site stating that "every time you plaze yourself whether via Plazes Web, Plazer or SMS >>with an activity happening today,<< this information is automatically published to Twitter." Could help. Thanks for helping out. -
Mmm, I've been trying to reproduce your problem with the SMS but the twitter integration works just fine as it should be.
This feature, indeed, works and has been tested during the last month on the closed beta platform. This is why has been included in the official release. However, we are open to collect your feedbacks in order to tweak it, to improve it and make it more flexible. -
Thx for trying. As I suspected, my SMS failure then probably was just a glitch. After all, Twitter isn't the most stable of all services...

Hi, this usually happens if your profile is private or the activity you created is set as private. Also, did the twitter integration work for you before?

probably because you entered your twitter username into the Twitter extension on plazes.com. We however need you to insert the email you have registered with twitter.

Inappropriate?You're right, I entered the Twitter username (because it's an available option and it's quicker than entering the e-mail). I've changed the settings now, entering the e-mail instead of the username, but there was still no updating to Twitter. It worked when I plazed myself "Now" though.

Later we will be able to post also future activities as soon as they become actual.
Moreover, you are now able to connect your twitter and Plazes account also by providing the twitter username.

Inappropriate?Oh, I see... :( Yes, that's what I did before Philipp J. K. told me I should use my e-mail to link the Twitter and Plazes accounts so future activities could be sent to Twitter. I guess I'll just have to wait for future activities to become supported by the Twitter integration...
