Hey guys, I pulled in my twitter feed. The good news: It works. The bad news: It's pulling in my direct replies to other Twitterers and replacing my status updates with them.
Click "Your Settings" link
Click "Account" tab
Type my open id URL (http://id.jameswilliams.me) into the OpenID URL box
Click "Authenticate"
Expected result: Politics4All associates my account with my OpenID
Actual result: Politics4All returns the following error message: "Could not complete your request. You may not have permission to make this change."
When returning to the regular site, my OpenID is not set in the OpenID URL box on my Account tab.
I have an account on Newsvine, where I occasionally write original articles. Is there a way to import the articles I write into my politics4all blog (like with an RSS feed or something)? Thanks.
When I signed up I marked my country as Canada, but when I try to input a postal code to give my location it says it needs to be 5 digits. Canadian postal codes are 6 digits. It looks like I'm set as being in the United States? I'm not sure, help! How do I get canadian info?
For some reason, the system can't seem to find my political district when I give it a correct address and ZIP code. I've tried all sorts of combinations of spellings, etc. but nothing seems to work. Is there a bug, or is it something specific to my case?
The politics4all site is great, but PLEASE expand the campaign section beyond Alabama. I was just turned onto this site and I am really enjoying it, but I would like to put my support behind my candidates. There is a Senate race in 2010, so get those candidates up at least.
Also, the group section is lacking and while I built one new group already, I can't and don't have the time to build the groups that should already be up on the site. Like the DNC and the RNC.
Not sure how new the site is, so I am just making suggestions to better improve the site and drive more traffic to it. If it wasn't for my friend in Alabama telling me about it and asking me to join since I was on the trail for 18 months I never would have found this site.
Thanks.
Senator Barack Obama decisions so far in this 2008 Presidential Election campaign are unequivocally indicative of the decisions he will make as PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! I believe any one in a leadership position who makes decisions should approach it the way that Barack Obama approaches decisions, which involves hearing out the opposing sides of an argument and allowing them to argue their position in a debate format and even taking outsider's perspective from people who are quiet on the sidelines ... I believe this election has vindicated that Americans are looking for much more then just the empty rhetoric that we have seen in Washington for the past 8 years and we as ONE AMERICA are READY FOR CHANGE!

Please read this article below, I felt it was a great read on the way that Barack Obama makes decisions:
I have a suggestion to improve interaction on the group pages. Would it be possible to add under each blog post something to the effect of "last comment on 10-22-08" or something similar? When I go to the West Tennessee Discussion Group page, for example, all that is displayed are the original postings themselves, and I have to load each one to see if there are any new comments. Since I'm not an administrator of that group, I don't even see a count of how many replies there are and it is hard to remember how many there were last time you checked even when that is available.
Thanks, ~Josh Boulée
It might be cool to have a people search based on the "what do we have in common" feature. I could see clicking a button and seeing the top matches as far as who believes the same things I do. Don't know if that would only cause people to segregate themselves, though. Just an idea.
I'm a technology reporter for Politics magazine and I'm hoping to speak to someone about Politics4All. I'm working on a story about services that bridge online social networks and real-world political action – and how services are filtering down quickly from presidential to local races. Politics4All is a site I'd like to include in the article.
