Enable integrating disqus comments into our posterous blogs
Please consider letting us integrate disqus comments into our posterous pages. This will greatly increase the ability of those of us with wordpress and other blogs to use posterous without creating another separate island of comments that need to be reviewed and managed.
It will also make posterous more viable as a blogging system.

Inappropriate? We're investigating this now. Actually I was just talking to Jason Yan today about it. Good idea and thanks for the suggestion!
I’m thankful

this is one of the best points

Inappropriate? And maybe, just maybe, enable integrating with IntenseDebate too?

I second the IntenseDebate movement. ID has easily surpassed Disqus on my list after Automattic acquired them. Trackbacks, Gravatars and OpenID? Yes please. -
Inappropriate?Any news on this? I'd like to recommend people to use posterous but only if they can use disqus/id
-
Last word from the developers was that they're focusing on themes and customizing the look of posterous blogs, and then they'll look at integrating or allowing disqus and other javascript-based plugins. Allowing a large variety of javascript services would make posterous highly customizable and incredibly powerful, but of course it's a major security hazard as well. As long as they do it, and do it well, I'll be glad they took their time with it. -
I think some sort of cross-pollinating system using the Posterous/Disqus APIs would be better. That way Posterous users could have their comments sync over to Disqus and vice versa. -
Inappropriate?with the new templating features, can we just add the codes from disqus straight into a customized posterous template? It seems like it could work.
I’m curious
-
Posterous doesn't allow javascript. So I'm pretty sure it won't work. The closest I've managed to get is a link to a discussion thread on Disqus.com. -
that's too bad. thanks Tal for letting me know. -
The Posterous devs say they won't allow Javascript, but instead will integrate the most wanted widgets. I'm guessing a twitter widget and Disqus support will be the first on the list. -
Inappropriate? Is this a dead duck or is there still hope?
-
Inappropriate?as a new posterous user and huge fan of disqus I'd really like to see this happen. additionally, I noticed today that my friend's posterous post showed up on facebook, and when I commented my comment showed on facebook too, but as a new post in my news feed. doubt it's possible but I'd love for my comments to stay in-line regardless of the service
I’m excited

Inappropriate?I would like to add unique id to each comment in order to cite it in other websites by adding something like #number-of-comment at the end of the URL.
I’m confident
-
Inappropriate? Is it possible to integrate facebook comments into the comment field in the blog itself - using the Facebook service?
-
Inappropriate? This is a great idea and I hope it gets integrated soon. Also, in your custom themes area you guys talk about having certain widgets available. If Disqus is integrated, then you should also add the ability to add the Disqus widgets into our themes as well.
-
Inappropriate?Doesn't seem like this is going to be added anytime soon . . .
I’m extremely dejected
-
Inappropriate? Can we get an official status on this one?
It's been over a year that we asked for this feature.
Any official update??
I’m sad
-
Inappropriate?I would like to see this too. Disqus It's simply the best commenting system available today.
I’m frustrated
