Multitasking fragmentation index
Can you guys develop something like Focus Index? or a Multitasking fragmentation alert? something like how much time do I spend on average on a task/application/files, or how many interruption do I handle (like 5 minutes other work breaks)?
When I multitask I am less efficient, and even if I still work hard, I could get even better results by focusing.
Other times I need to jump wildly across windows to accomplish the task at hand.

Inappropriate? This is a really cool idea that we've wanted to do for a WHILE... I think it's probably worth attacking soon. It's pretty hard-- shifting, by itself, isn't necessarily bad. I shift between Photoshop, Coda, and Firefox very rapidly when doing development-- that's how it's supposed to work... So I think we need to track shifting BETWEEN categories (or productivity levels). i.e. rapid/frequent shifting to Facebook = bad. Rapid shifting between a code window and the command line = good.
I’m thankful
