Inappropriate? The RescueTime Icon that is in your system menu at the top of your screen should have an option to "Show/Hide Dock Icon". Once you've selected to Show the dock icon, you will need to restart RescueTime to have it take effect.
Let me know if that doesn't work for you,
Thanks -
the icon next to the wifi, volume, battery life icons? that was the first thing i tried. when i click on it, no menu comes up. i don't know what the deal is. -
Inappropriate? We've had other users report this in the past, but I haven't been able to track down what causes it.
It has been reported that the menu will show up after letting RescueTime run for a while or after a restart of your computer.
I've got it pretty high on my priority list to figure out why this happens, so I'll look at it asap.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?Ja, this is pretty weird - I have the same thing (no menu appearing when I click on the RescueTime logo in the system menu). I've just installed RescueTime for the first time - using OS 10.4.11. I haven't restarted yet, though...

Inappropriate?Unfortunately we still don't have a fix for this - I can reproduce it on a testing system, but still no clue as to why it stops responding for a period of time after either a new install or an updated install. Restarts seem to do the trick OR just waiting for an hour or so.
Let me know if it ends up coming back on its own or if you do a restart and still have the issue. Or any other observations that you can make that might help me track it down. Sorry about that! -
Inappropriate?Hey, I left it for a while - and it came back on its own. It did hang after a while about 1/2 an hour after I first installed it. I force-quitted it and opened the app again...after running for a few hours (and leaving my computer on and untouched for an hour) the menu came back. Good luck tracking that down!!
I’m happy

Inappropriate?Thanks for the update Roger!
