Can availability of inventory be linked on 'price point' level instead of 'tour option' level?
While working on the structure of my tours / tour options / price points, I am running into the following 'issue'.
I would like to link availability of inventory, however as far as I understand correctly this can only be done by linking inventory at 'tour option level'. And in my case I would like to be able to link availability on 'price point level'.
In my business a 'tour' has the following 3 options:
1) Tickets
2) Packages
3) Hospitality
Each of the 3 'tour options' mentioned above, have the following 3 'price points' (which are the same for all 3 tour options):
- Grandstand (i.e. inventory 20 seats)
- Lateral (i.e. inventory 30 seats)
- Goal (i.e. inventory 40 seats)
In the structure mentioned here, I can't link availability of inventory. I could however change the order and 'promote' my current 'price points' (grandstand, lateral, goal) to options and change my current 'tour options' (tickets, packages, hospitality) to price points, but that wouldn't be quite as obvious/clear for our clients when booking their tour with us.
Is there any suggestion for a workaround here, so that I can link availability of inventory at 'price point level' (maybe there is something simple which I haven't thought of yet....)? Or is this something which can be developed by Rezgo?
Hope you can help me out.
Nicholas

Inappropriate?Hi Nicholas,
I think this may need some extra thought and a conversation. Can you call 604-983-0083 and we can figure out the best way to make this work for you.
Kind Regards,
Stephen

Inappropriate?I've been trying to find a solution to a similar problem, with regards to my Theatre Tours. A single 'Theatre Tour' offers a choice of productions at different Price Points. The availability of a single production is limited. Currently, I have to monitor the bookings carefully to ensure a choice of production isn't overbooked.
I’m a little anxious

Inappropriate?Hi Michael,
If I understand your situation, you offer a single tour that is made up of different shows. The customer can then pick the number of tickets for each show. Is it likely that a single customer would book more then one show ticket at a time? For example, would a customer book 2 tickets for "Phantom of the Opera"and 2 tickets for "We will Rock You" in the same transaction?
If the answer is no, then I would recommend that you split up the tour as follows:
Tour: London Theatre Tour
> Option 1: Phantom of the Opera
>> Price 1: General seating tickets - 39.00
> Option 2: Chicago
>> Price 1: General seating tickets - 39.00
> Option 3: Lion King
>> Price 1: General seating tickets - 45.00
> Option 2: We Will Rock You
>> Price 1: General seating tickets - 39.00
This way, when the customer clicks on the date in the calendar, they choose from the available options. You don't need to add the date to the name in this case because the date will automatically be appended to the booking when it is made. The benefit to you is that you can specify the number of tickets available for EACH show.
The limitation with this structure is that the customer can only book tickets to one show at a time. If I assume correctly, however, since the shows are all on the same day, it seems unlikely that anyone would go to two shows at the same time.
I hope that helps. If you need assistance setting this up or need an example, just let us know.
Cheers,
Stephen
