Price per group?

Hello!
I'm just getting started with Rezgo, but I'm not sure Rezgo and I will be a "perfect match" yet...

My first question is: as a private tourguide, my tours are private and the fee is set per group, not per person.

The reason is I'd need at least 4 people to reach the fee it's efficient for me to work for, but often a couple is perfectly willing to pay for the whole amount in order to get a tour just for them.

I'm trying to create my first "tour product", but I can't set a group fee. How should I proceed?
Thank you!

Marta

    HI Marta,

I do something similiar to what you're trying to do for our company. We have two different scenarios which might be similiar to what you're trying to do.

The first is that we offer a guide service. For our guide service, our pricing is per guide not per person. So in this case, I set up a "tour" called Rent-a-Guide Service and then I added options for the different tours our guides can offer. Our pricing is based on the number of hours the tour will take. So I just set the pricing for each option based on how long we are allocating and this works quite well.

The other scenario is for our jeep tours. We offer a variety of jeep tours and each jeep can hold up to 7 passengers. Like you, we have a minimum number of people required to book a tour (which ranges from 2 to 4 people depending on the tour). But like you, we often have smaller groups who want to book a private jeep. So what I did is set two (or more) different options for each tour. One option provides per person pricing on a public tour with whatever minimum I have for that tour. If someone books this option, we do fill the open seats in with other guests if possible.

The second option is to book a private jeep. In that case, pricing is per jeep rather than per person. And a party of 1-7 people can book that option for a flat fee.

Would something like that work for you?

The place I see this would break down is if your pricing is something like $200 minimum charge and then $50 each additional person. Because you might have 2 people who are willing to pay for 4 people, which it sounds like you're fine with. But you wouldn't necessarily want 10 people to book that private tour price if it's based on 4 people.

However, you could probably set up different options for different numbers of people and then set your availability and pricing accordingly.

So you might have one option for a party of 2, another for a party of 3, another for a party of 4 or more. And then you'd either have flat "group" pricing or per person pricing, depending on the option booked.

If you want to see an example of how we set our products up, take a look at:

    http://desertadventures.rezgo.com/tou...

That shows our rent-a-guide tours which are sold by the guide

    Or look at:

    http://desertadventures.rezgo.com/tou...

That shows jeep tours sold both by the person (with a mininimum) and by the jeep.

    Hope that helps!

    Good luck.

    Hello!

I'll have to read it carefully but it looks like it's going to be very helpful, so thank you!
You know how the tourguide life is, sometimes not much work and all of a sudden you don't have a minute off! So that's my life now and won't have much time to work on all this for the next few days but I wanted to thank you for yor answer. I'll get back to you after this crazy week is finished and I can take care of my internet projects.

    Thank you so much!
