Warning: RingCentral Customer Service is TERRIBLE
Warning to anyone who is considering RingCentral: their customer service is TERRIBLE. Look all over their own forums for complaints: http://forum.ringcentral.com/viewforu... Although the service is cool, they can't even get the basics of customer service right, with non-returned emails, missed callbacks, and many other problems.

Inappropriate?I'm right there with you. I called them a month ago to cancel my account and sat on hold for over 30 minutes (their automated greeting guarantees a rep will answer with 1 minute) until a call center rep answered then hung up on me. I called back and they apologized and said they would cancel the account. Another billing cycle later I'm still getting billed and they don't respond to emails.....

Inappropriate?ME TOO! This is horrendous... noone knows what the hell they are talking about over there. They keep you on hold for 20 minutes at ta time or more.. i worked in customer service & it was good business to come back to the customer every 2 minutes or so to assure them your "working on the issue" and aren't out to lunch or something. These guys have horrendous customer service... the 48 hour reslution promise on open tickets turned into a WEEK with me with no response as of yet. I'm working on finding a new provider at this time. Extremely disappointed.

Liz, I found this other company, VoiceNation.com that offers the same services and the little customer support I have needed so far has been great. Much more responsive and friendly than Ring Central. -
Inappropriate?Wost customer service of any phone company I've every dealt with, VoIP or otherwise. Despite calling them numerous times and opening multiple tickets in their online system, I'm still waiting for ANY response on a major problem with incoming calls I first reported over 3 months ago. Best features of any phone system I've ever had but the worst customer support. Period.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?RingCentral is the absolutely most unprofessional, unresponsive company I've ever dealt with. Their people are friendly but the most unknowledgeable group I've even dealt with. The product is good, service is horrible and we've had nothing but problems since day one. This is a perfect example of why bigger, more professional service providers are still in business. Urgh... so frustrated!

Inappropriate? An update on this, which you'll all find humorous. My credit card expired recently, and I got my first-ever call from RingCentral. It was a courtesy call to let me know that they couldn't charge my card, and could I give them a new one over the phone so they could bill me? I'm done with dealing with them, so I told the guy I was moving to Grasshopper by the end of the week. It's truly the mark of a GREAT company when they can't be bothered to respond to emails or phone calls when you have a problem, but the moment they don't get their money they're on the phone to you.
Incidentally, Grasshopper has been a much different experience so far. Every email has been responded to within hours, sometimes with a reply phone call to make sure I was OK. Their service is more expensive and does less than RingCentral, but at least they call you back! -
Inappropriate?Ringcentral is by far the worst. They are all outsourced support people that don't care for their customers.
Please don't make the mistake I did. Don't use Ringcentral. You will regret it. Ringcentral sucks. -
Inappropriate?Grasshopper/GotVmail system is featureless and very buggy. RingCentral's customer service is maddening. Let me know if anyone can find something that has the best of both worlds.

Inappropriate?I never write reviews about my experiences with these types of companies, but Ringcentral is actually trying to scam people into thinking they have support, and making people think that they can easily cancel their accounts. I wouldn’t feel right about keep this to myself. I wanted to cancel my account with these guys just because I no longer needed the service. Not only could I not get through to anyone using any communication medium, but they have 4 or 5 different ways of fooling their customers into thinking it’s easy to cancel your account with them. They make you think there is 24/7 support, but you will not get through to someone by calling. It even tells you while you’re on hold that you can press 9 to leave a voicemail. Pressing 9 does nothing. I tried it from 3 different phones. Try it yourself... Call (888) 898-4591, press 4, then when instructed to, press 9 to leave a VM. Nothing! So then I tried accessing their contact link after logging into their site in hopes that there was some other way to get in touch with them. It asked me to login again after clicking on “contact us”, but of course my login and password didn’t work for this part of the site. I successfully reset my password a few times, and tried logging into the main site a few times, but the same problem continued to present itself. I couldn’t access the contact us page. Now i’ll admit that they could be neglecting their site, and IVR in this one area and all of this is a coincidence, but seriously this is unacceptable no matter how you spin it. My next step is to call sales, and try and get a manager on the line in hopes of canceling that way. After that, I guess i’ll need to go to my credit card company. This sucks...

Inappropriate?just a thought...sometimes we need to keep in our minds that we are not the only person that the company serves..be considerate, not because you were not prioritized does not mean you were given bad service.

Inappropriate? Is that so?... Ok well here is an update. It's been ONE YEAR since i ported my # to a different customer because of RingCentral's horrible service. Every couple of weeks I tell them that they haven't release my line completely because incoming calls do not come through. Some of the calls are greeted with an operator message that SPECIFICALLY says that the person you are calling has not setup their phone service. Please call RINGCENTRAL customer service to have this setup. OK... then it's obvious RINGCENTRAL is the one that needs to fix it..and release my line from their database. My current company has even offered to help try to contact them to get it rectified & work with them best they can (yea, that'll go over swell). Well,, they (ringcentral) completely REFUSE to accept the fact that they haven't released my lines from their databases to allow completion of the port. After numerous "tickets" opened, with each rep just "closing" the ticket indicating that they couldn't find a problem. Noone takes responsibility. This is after over a YEAR of going back & forth with them. Do you find this acceptable?? I find it disgusting. And the last straw last week, after OVER a year of dealing with this,, and i find a year of dealing with it is a bit much... i finally filed a complaint with the FCC because i can only imagine a years worth of business going down the tubes because the incoming calls were not completed and the customers most likely assume i went out of business or something since my line never works for them. So if you think that me thinking that after over a year or not being "priortized" is asking too much... then your either an employee or stockholder of RingCentral or your customer service expectations are quite low.

been there.. done that... have NUMEROUS support tickets opened/closed with no resolution. ongoing for over a year. commitment to responding to issues would be proven in simply doing so... and not just because RC found a negative comment on the internet and are trying to save face... -
Inappropriate?Support and customer service does not exist for these guys. Had I known, I would not have signed up with them. Hopefully can switch one day. I opened multiple support tickets over time and most of them got ignored. Yep, just like that, they went into a black hole. No response, nothing.
I do not recommend RingCentral as a service for a business. -
Inappropriate? The Customer Service is the worst I have ever seen in my entire life. You will get to talk to some unprofessional and mean people from India. I've been charged every month, but can't use my fax service. I can't even simply log on to my account. My user name and password don't work, and my answer to a secret question doesn't help me either. I talked to 4 different reps. and none of them could help me. First time, the said they will resolve the issue and contact me within 24 hours. Never heard anything. Second and Third time around, after 30 minutes of me waiting on the line, they hang up on me. Last time, I asked the supervisor, but they said that all the supervisors are busy and cannot come to the phone. The took my callback number and promised to call me back. It's been a week now, and I have just given up on them. My time is more valuable and I am going to dispute the charges with my bank. Don't even think about using their service!
